My husband and I have a used a few different brands of these foot masks in the past. Previously, we were stuck on one from Nordstrom but they're crazy expensive, especially if you need 2 sets each run. I set out to find a new brand via good reviews.

As you can see by the pic, these worked amazingly for my husband. We left them on for 2 hours instead of 45 mins - 1 hour. No burning sensation or anything uncomfortable; they come with extra stickers to keep them on while soaking.

The first day after using them, I get a text from my husband, "my feet are sweating so badly!". I was not experiencing the same thing but he was at work with socks and work boots on and I was in socks and slides. The 3rd day after the treatment, he came home and removed his socks and there were HUGE pieces of skin falling out of the sock. He washed his feet a bit and proceeded to let myself and my daughter pull SHEETS of skin off. "It's so satisfying", claimed my daughter. I know, dear. I know.

We pulled off A LOT of skin. The peeling skin was thicker and harder to remove in areas that tend to be calloused. He removed those areas himself as I was afraid of peeling something too deeply and not being able to feel if it became uncomfortable.

Now, myself on the other hand"¦I had very little skin come off and what did was in frustrating tiny flakes that actually made my feet feel VERY dry and snaggy on my socks *cringe*. I ended up scrubbing with a pumice stone that I use in the shower bc I couldn't stand the dry, rough texture that resulted from minimal and slow peeling.

Over the next few days, I was sure to wear socks and full shoes as much as possible, wondering if this is what gave my husband better results. At 2 weeks, no change for me.

We have another pair and plan to do it again. I'm going to soak my feel for a long time before applying this round and be sure to wear shoes and socks that would make my feet sweat in the following days.

As of now, 4 stars as it seems like it might not work the same for everyone but since it could be the conditions after treatment, we'll give it another go and I will update!

The overall gist - this works, but manage expectations.

The only big issue was that the expiration date is only about a month away on receiving, and the product was made a few years ago. I can't use 4 pairs in that time, but decided to keep it. On first use, not too bad. My feet weren't in horrible shape to start, but there are problem areas. It didn't have a profound effect on the worst areas that are a bit thicker, but does call for repeat uses in that case. My heels weren't very bad to start with, but did end up much softer along with much of my foot. There was a slight sting on my ankles during use, and seems to have caused very slight chemical burn there. Peeling began on day 3 and was pretty much done within 2 days. Soaking your feet definitely helps the process once peeling starts. Lots of skin in the water with soaking and lightly rubbing the feet. The smell is like peachy rubbing alcohol. Fragrance wasn't important for me though. The "socks" are one piece you cut apart, and they fit like low ankle socks, so expect the top of your feet to peel too. I wear 13's for most brands, and these were a tight fit to slip on, but mostly fit once you get them on over the heel. The included tape is useless, sticks to nothing. The "sock" itself has a sticky tab to seal around the leg as well that worked better, but not great. My small toe did end up tearing through when I had to move, but overall durable enough.

For those who don't know, folks who dance a lot share a not- so- secret reality... We have ugly feet! There. I said it. The hours spent in pointe shoes, ballroom heels, and even jazz sneaks leave their mark and the calluses are legit. To a certain extent, the calluses are good and protect one's tootsies, but also...ew! Sometimes we want to at least pretend we've got cute feet that look adorbs in the latest sandal style.

Enter: foot masks. I've used a variety of brands over the years and at a variety of price points. These are a winner.

The smell isn't completely offensive, as with some other brands. I'm petite, so I like that these boots are a little shorter, stopping at the ankle. And, most importantly, they work!

It seems like they're a little stronger than other brands I've used, so definitely aim for more like 45mins instead of an hour and 15 and immediately stop and wash your feet with soap and water if the mild tingling is more than mild or becomes so. Don't use them if you've got cuts/scrapes. Do apply after a shower or after soaking your feet for the best results. It can take 4+ days to start seeing results, but when you do it'll be impressive. Also, don't pick at your skin or "help" the peeling, which can be hard but you can do real damage to your skin.

I was skeptical that anything would work on my dry feet and the reviews seemed too good to be true. It definitely took almost two weeks "¦I thought it wasn't working "¦but miraculously my feet started peeling and now they are softer and not rough.

I've used peeling foot masks before and this one is the best so far in terms of results. It worked very quickly and left my feet feeling brand new(i have very rough feet so thats saying a lot) The only thing I don't like is the shape. Usually foot masks are shaped like stockings where you tighten it around your lower calf. These cut off at the ankles so there isnt really a good way to tighten them and still be able to move around comfortably. I normally would put on a foot mask and then a pair of socks on top and be able to walk around freely but because of the way these are designed the product was leaking into my socks just on the walk to the couch from the bathroom.
