Awesome Product

Read a ton of reviews and viewed other projectors prior to purchasing. While some are likely better video quality, this works perfect for my needs. Ultra portable and built in speakers make it worth it. I have it mounted to my bed headboard, the size is not overbearing or noticeable - a lot less so than a TV mounted to the wall. A downside for some will be the throw and how you can't adjust size - size is based on position of the projector. Again, for me, where it's located, I get a 118" screen with great visibility at night when it's primarily being viewed. Easily connects to Apple TV for streaming. One HDMI in may not be enough for some, but if you know your needs, this thing is perfect. Cheaper than a TV and can be taken on the road when you need it.
Impressed by its quality

I bought the M1 as a very portable projector to showcase quick slideshows and project books/videos to my daughter before bed. I wasn't expecting an impressive product, but something portable and quick to assemble and store. As soon as I tried it for the first time I was amazed! For its size, it offers an impressive bright image (not full HD, but that I knew) that is pleasant to see. The projector is quick to mount and it offers HDMI and USB-C as main connections (it also has a USB for stickers, but I didn't try that one). The menu is easy to navigate and quick to jump into the image.

The speakers are fine, the quality (for Harman Kardon) is not mindblowing, but one can't fit great speakers in such a small case. And they do their job and provide way better sound than laptop speakers.

Overall, this is a mini-projector that I totally recommend and that surpassed by far what I expected from it. If there is something that has a lot of room for improvement is the controller... clumsy and it has a terrible range. So usually I end up using mostly the buttons on the projector, as I'm close enough to manipulate them.
Pretty good buy, super slick

I feel compelled to write a review about this projector, because I had extremely high expectations for it. It has mostly lived up to them, but there are some issues, for those who might like some more information. Some of this could be chalked up to "operator error" -- I'm not a visual-spatial person, so my tweaking of the projection angles are kind of sub-par, but it really should be easier to make this work. First, the good -- this projector is beautifully designed. It's sharp and looks better than anything out there. Also, the speaker is excellent IF you compare it to most projectors -- not using a cable to connect it to a better speaker with more bass. In comparison to my JBL, it sounds tinny, even with the bass turned up. However, again, it's far superior to many projection speakers standing on its own. The good news, is it does have an output to plug in a better speaker, if you want. I love interface and the corrective possibilities -- lots of controls to optimize screen settings and experience and they are easy to use. It doesn't seem bright, on paper, but I was watching a show with my curtains open and a light on. However, it was a bright show -- when I tried to watch a space movie, or something with darker colors, it was not quite bright enough.

I bought a screen for it, so I imagine that could have something to do with the projection. Here are my pet peeves: it projects a barely perceptible border around the actual picture that doesn't move when you do the keystone correction, so you end up having diagonal lines that could bother someone with obsessive-compulsive disorder were that person (a friend?) trying to project a perfect picture inside a screen. It doesn't affect the picture -- it doesn't go over the picture -- but it's a little annoying. However, you can forget about it -- if you can.

One other thing is, my particular camera tends to lengthen the top left corner when pointed upward. Again -- I don't know about angles, but it's not just like "totally easy," to get a straight picture. And the WORST thing about the camera, which caused me to dock the star is that the smart stand, on my camera, is not level. So, when you sit it there -- it just doesn't give you a level picture. This can be clandestinely corrected with some stacked pieces of electrical tape or a piece of paper, because it is slight -- but it's annoying. It should be level for $300.

The panel for hook-ups is great, but I agree with the reviewer that said the USBC does NOT charge and carry information at the same time -- unless I misunderstand what that means. I had the camera's USBC hooked up to a USBC port on a Macbook Pro, and the computer was plugged in. No power flowed. Is it supposed to go in reverse? Should the camera have been plugged in to power the laptop? Not sure.

Overall, I think it's a good buy. Much, much easier to deal with than my Pico, which is a beautiful thing, but older -- I wanted an upgrade and this works. It's not perfect, but it is slick, which counts for something, as long as it works. I think it works well, aside from getting the picture straight.
Great for outdoor movies

We have a remote, off the grid yurt and we wanted to be able to watch movies with a battery powered projector. I looked at a lot of them and chose this one based on battery length. The projector has 4 settings for the battery usage. In Full mode, the light is bright but you will only get about 2 hours out of the battery. On Eco mode you can get over 5, but the light looks dim. We have found that Extended Eco gives us about 4 hours of playing time, but the picture still is quite bright. We use an 84 inch portable screen and the picture is very clear and crisp. We put the projector on a small table about 4 feet from the screen and use the built in stand and it works great. And it is very easy to use. It comes with a USB C to USB C cord that I use to stream live TV (Hulu) from my Android phone. This drains the battery however because the projector charges my phone while running. Most of the time, we watch movies that I have downloaded onto my iPad. The iPad doesn't need to charge while playing which saves the projector battery. In order to connect an Apple product, I got an HDMI to Apple lightning converter plug. The projector has a USB C input, an HDMI input, as well as a USB. You can plug in a USB stick to play videos, but I have never done this. Overall, I couldn't be happier with this projector. It stores compactly, has a really nice picture and sound (although to make it really loud I connect my JBL portable speaker into it), has great battery life, and is easy to use. It's worked great for outdoor movies.
Best sound for your buck

People who buy without researching and then leave negative reviews should be tarred and feathered, lol. HERE are the basics.
1. It is bright enough that even in a small office with 6 fluorescent lights overhead you can play a 36-inch image on the wall, after that the darker the better. I use it about 7 feet from the wall for a huge image of about 7 feet.
2. 480p, we are all spoiled with numbers we think 480p is bad... 480p is DVD quality. I am old enough to remember when DVD came out and we thought it was the clearest picture possible. Unless you are up close looking for individual pictures, don't worry, your eyes adjust and this does a fine job. You have to think of size... Your local theater can't use 480p because the screen on 20 feet tall, 480 pixels would be about one pixel an inch. But on your wall at maybe four feet tall, pixels blend together and you don't see do much.
3. People complain it doesn't have every feature, SO GO BUY THAT ONE! You plug this into an HDMI source and you play video, that is all I want.
4. THE MOST IMPRESSIVE SOUND. I just bought a 900 dollar projector with Harmon Kardon speakers AND a subwoofer, and the sound does NOT compare. Even though both units us 3 watt Harmon Kardon speakers, and the big unit has a subwoofer, it only reaches HALF the volume this one does. I use this at HALF volume and it fills the room, higher volume is too loud.

So if you want to plug a projector in sometimes to an HDMI source, and never worry about carrying a second set of speakers, this is the one for you.
If you want wireless and android and huge built in storage and super bright, go spend 1000 dollars and get it. This is 350, and worth every penny.
