I was really unsure of this product at first because I have tried everything to quit dipping, but I really just enjoy the act of dipping. I have been dipping for 18 years, and about a can a day for 15 years. The latest has been grizzly wintergreen long cut. For the past 6 months, I really started to notice a lot of gum retraction and my lip being a little weirder than normal and I knew it was time to quit before I started losing teeth. I started with 10 cans of baccoff. I mixed 1 can baccoff to one can of grizzly, essentially halving the nicotine and I did this for a week. I noticed on the first day that my mouth wasn't as sore as usual, and actually felt a little better. The texture is a bit different than normal dip, but it isnt waxy like other fake dips. The taste is different too, but it actually tastes pretty good. So I can't say that I have quit completely, because as of now I am mixing 1 can of grizzly with 3 cans of baccoff, but I am down to 1/4 of the nicotine per can and about 1/2 can a day, and my lip feels like a baby's butt. The beauty of this stuff is the fact that I'm not munching all the time on food, and I can still dip during my regular routine, I'm just not getting all the toxic crap and nicotine like before. I highly recommend this product.

Mediocre product at best. I originally purchased the Rough Cut Mint, and after being disappointed in that I purchased the Straight Pouches, which are not much better.

The cans come inside a sandwich-sized Ziplock bag...should probably be your first warning.

Since I have only tried the Mint flavored Rough Cut, I cant speak for the rest, but the Mint was very, VERY dry. I understand that these products are a tobacco alternative and aren't going to be as good as Copenhagen, but this is not even same ballpark. The consistency of the Rough Cut was similar to if one were to mix saw dust and goldfish food. Because of how dry it was, the product does not pack well and does not pinch well, causing "stragglers" to the enth degree.

With the dryness of the Rough Cut being my primary complaint, I figured I would try the pouches. Even if they're dry, at least the pouch will help to cut down on the mess, right? Wrong. Again, they were shipped in a Ziplock bag, and the inside was covered with brown juice. My first thought was one of the cans cracked, no big deal. Upon further investigation I found every can (I ordered 5) was poorly designed and do not snap all the way closed, causing all the juice to soak through the label and in turn probably soak your back left jeans pocket. I'm not too excited to have to carry around my pouches in an old Copenhagen can because I know it won't leak.

The flavors aren't bad, again I knew this was an alternative so my expectations were not very high. Yet somehow I was still let down. The only reason this product gets any stars at all is because the flavors aren't awful, and it gets the job done, which is to have something in my lip to help me quit dipping. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

I've tried other products before when trying to quit using dip and this worked great. I used this by mixing a half can of dip to a half can of this fake dip and after a few days I went to strait Baccoff. When using it strait it does not hold together very well but it was ok using it to get over regular dip. It does help when the cravings for regular dip happen and they happen a lot but after a week or two they are not as strong or last long and with this product you should be able to give up regular dip for good.

Great product, but I must say the first time I opened the can I wanted to vomit. I read a few reviews that said there is a chemical taste. I must admit that is the taste that I had when i first put it in my lip I actually chucked it in the garbage. I had five cans in front of me an I wanted to throw them out. The cans sat there for few days and finally I tried it again, it wasn't bad the second time. I think the expectation was that it was going to taste like apple, at least like Skoal Apple. Once you get past the initial taste, you can get a hint of apple flavor. I guess its good in a sense because I don't want to swallow the juice due to the taste.

I've gone through three cans now"¦ and I actually really like the product. It definitely is the closest thing to the real thing"¦

My only suggestion is to maybe add a tad bit of apple flavoring, otherwise it is good. I will be purchasing more.

I normally chew Skoal straight classic long cut. (over 30 years) I was really hoping this would work. At first the flavor was ok, but after a few minutes a chemical flavor started coming thru that was not pleasant at all. just writing this review makes my stomach a little queasy. Shame!
