The boots are the best part. They are very WARM and waterproof. It has been many years since I have done the sport and I have noticed the sport has progressed significantly over the years. It seems that are many skiiers that are skating. These are not skating skiis. But that's OK as I am just re-learning the sport and the set suits me and my sig other quite nicely.

Ok, let's get real. These are very inexpensive skis. The boots are actually very comfortable. The bindings are annoying but they do work. I am new to skiing and will never pay for a lift ticket or a set of overpriced skis. I was on the verge of making a pair of skis myself. Then I found these. You cannot beat the price. They slide across the snow. I can go down the hills and back up again.
ONE IMPORTANT NOTE: these are not supposed to need wax. The first time I tried them, the snow immediately froze to the bottom of the skis, making them not slide. Cleaned off the ice, waxed them with paste wax. Now they slide like skis on snow! For real!

These are great. The winter was mild so we didn't get much use. One thing I would say is I didn't realize the poles needed assembly until I got it, however with some help all worked out.
