Finally Found A Winner!!!!!!!!

At last!!!!! I've been searching for quite a while for a healthy pizzle stick made here in the USA!! I'm over the moon happy with Sancho and Lola's products. My teething Bichon Frise absolutely love pizzle sticks but I never felt confident with products made outside the USA where you have no idea where the product is coming from or if it's safe. I discontinued giving my puppy the pizzle sticks if I was confidant in the safety of what I was giving her a chew treat. I ordered from Sancho and Lola's after much extensive research and I'm happy to say that I'm so very pleased and could not be more happy with the quality of Sancho and Lola's pizzle sticks. My dog chewed nonstop for several hours and so enjoyed them. A bonus is that I can actually be in the same room while she is chewing them. Very low odor if at all. I cannot smell the pizzle sticks much at all. I cannot say enough about these pizzle sticks for my puppy. The price does not concern me. You get what you pay for. I'm paying for safety, quality and pure enjoyment for my puppy, She can now chew to her hearts delight. Thank You Sancho for Lola's for everything you do for our precious pets.
Our dog gets more extended chewing time with these & loves the flavor. Beware of individual negative reactions though.

Received this in a timely fashion and well-packaged. I love how the company gives a portion of proceeds to charity. Our 2yr old lab mix dog loved these. Plenty of chewing time. It lasted close to 45m of continuous chewing until it became too small. She is a moderately vigorous chewer, but can go through one faster than that if she's determined. Even with that, these bully sticks lasted longer than most other things we've given her. (Her other favorite chew is the beef patella sold here on Amazon)
I didn't notice a smell while it was being chewed, but can definitely notice an odor with the bag opened wide. I solved that problem by only opening the zipper seal just wide enough to push out one of the sticks & hold it out for our dog to pull the rest of the way out of the bag. No smell! Our kids spend a lot of time on the floor with her & they don't complain about a smell while she's chewing either. Believe me, if there was a problem, they'd make it known. It's the reason we don't give her pig ears anymore.
She loved the bully stick and happily took it near her bed to chew away. She chewed 2 of them without incident. After the 3rd stick, however, she had diarrhea. I don't know for sure whether it was due to the stick. She had a Lyme Disease booster shot earlier that day so it could theoretically have been a reaction to the Booster. However, she was fine several weeks earlier when she had a series of vax all on the same day. Her only reactions to those were some lethargy and slight loss of appetite. No diarrhea. Odds are that it may have been a combination of the two or that she just got a bad stick. I have given her another stick, but made sure to take it away after about 15m just in case. I don't want to take any chances. Cleaning diarrhea off the floor once is enough. So far she hasn't gotten sick again under the new regime of taking it away after only 15minutes.
My official rating is 4.5 stars due to the uncertainty of whether it was a bad stick vs. a combination of a bully stick plus Booster vax reaction. I don't think any of the above warrants taking away an entire star, but Amazon wont let me take away only half of a star.

I have a 1 year old (6 pound) toy poodle, who loves to chew on bully sticks. I had a hard time finding bully sticks in my stores here, they were either sold out or outrageously priced. I shopped on line here & found the 12" Bully Sticks for Dogs Made in USA by Sancho & Lola's Closet. After reading the great reviews, I took a chance and ordered the 12" MEDIUM size 10oz (5-7 in a pack) . I was EXTREMELY pleased. The package was well marked, & in durable plastic. The perfect size and weight was exact so I got what I paid for for a decent price. Best of all is the quality: Made in USA, from grass fed cows living on farms in the mid west. No toxic chemicals, no fillers, grain free, gluten free. My toy poodle goes crazy over them & I have 3 to 4 laying around all over the house. I never worry of pieces breaking off and choking, like I did with the raw hide chewy's. There is a very slight odor, but it IS NOT offensive, less smell than the edible dog "treats" you buy in the store. Does not stain or leave marks on material. Excellent product with a lot of care put into it. I order the 12" to save money, (because the other store brands 7" got down to the last 3 inches I would throw it away so it would not be a choking hazard). I am definitely keeping this as one of my "must have" ongoing orders. Best of all, it is delivered to the door and I don't have to find stores that carry bully sticks anymore. Good price good quality, good service.
The Best & The Healthiest!

I have tried several different brands of pizzle sticks (always from grass fed, no hormones, no antibiotic bulls) and these are, by far, the BEST - and healthiest!!! I have 3 relatively large rescue dogs: a 13 year old Black Lab mix, an 8 year old American Pitbull Terrier, and a 9 year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier.
My MOST powerful chewer is my male Staffordshire Bull Terrier. His head and jaws are quite large and he has always been able to eat an entire 6 inch pizzle stick in about 7-10 minutes. Not these! I buy him the 12 inch, 14 oz X-THICK (pack of 5) and I freeze them for extra chewing time. He finally has something to chew that is not only really good for his teeth, but is primal and good for his mind too! It takes him about 25-30 minutes to eat half (6 inches). I am so happy! My senior Lab and female pittie are also fairly strong chewers, so I buy them the 12 inch, 13oz, THICK (pack of 6). I also freeze them. My female pittie always falls asleep before she gets half way done! My senior lab will chew for about 30 minutes before she just gets tired and walks away. I return the uneaten portions to the freezer for next time! I only let them eat half at a time to make them last longer and because they're pure protein. My female pittie has always had a sensitive tummy and has vomited up 2 other pizzle stick brands that I tried in the past. She hasn't had ANY trouble at all digesting these! All of my dogs (including the fosters I have coming and going) absolutely LOVE these! I hope they continue to make these and keep up with the quality because I don't plan to buy any other kind, ever again! I hope this review helps those of you out there, who like me, have struggled to find something that lasts more than a few minutes for your very strong chewers!

Fantastic Product from a Fantastic Company with a Fantastic Mission!

I wanted to find a bully stick producer that provides a quality, natural, made-in-the-USA product. I was also looking for company that delivers a consistent product. Sancho & Lola meet these standards. They also get brownie points for donating a portion of their profits to various dog rescues throughout the county!
I ordered the 12-inch "thick" sticks for my labrador pup (6 months old) and she loves these things. The package I received had bullies that were of a consistent thickness. They are not odor-free, but I did not expect them to be. The amount of odor they have when moist from chewing is completely tolerable for me. She typically goes through about 1-2" of the stick per session. So, one stick usually lasts about 5 to 7 days for her (right now, anyway). I will not hesitate to order sticks from this company when I need more and I am happy to say that I would recommend it! If the price of the sticks seems high, just remind yourself: these are quality sticks made from safe beef sources. They are made in the USA. The company delivers a consistent product. AND :) some of what you are paying is being used to fund a dog rescue! Buy the sticks!
