If you have never used braid you have to know it's limitations vs its advantages. The greatest advantage to braid is it's diameter/thickness and it's cast-ability in comparison to the same strength monofilament line. I use 50 lb braid and can cast a considerable distance further than with monofilament because of this. I like to fish for large catfish and I can rest assured that if a big cat takes off down river I will have plenty of line and not have to worry about the fish taking my entire spool.
The disadvantage of braid is it's resistance to abrasion. Fishing and abrasive surfaces like rocks and tree limbs just go together. Where I fish, as you can see in couple of my photos, there are lots of big rocks. It wouldn't take a very large fish to break this line if it were to rub against one of these rocks. What I do to combat this is use 10' of 50 lb big game monofilament leader line attached to the end of my braided mainline. I have found that the best knot to use to retain the strength is a PR knot tied with a line bobbin. A search of youtube will show you how this knot is tied.
Anyway, the largest fish I have caught using this line is a 55 lb flat head and countless blues from 20 - 45 lbs. And as far as the color of the line fading, I fish on average 3 days a week in fresh water and it does fade a little but not more than should be expected.

For multi color I've been very happy with YoZuri but on a whim I wanted to try this stuff out. I couldn't believe the price I got both 15 and 20 pound rolls of 500 yards for .
The break in time is pretty close to 0 . Within 10 casts the 20 pound rolled off my baitcaster line it'd been on there for weeks . Smooth , quiet , and tight . No gummy residue that causes birdnests until it washes off like some braided line brands I've used . Even after fading some I can still see every color but the blue easily . I tied the blue so I've got a 10 yard leader that is harder for the fish to see then the bright yellow, bright green , bright purple that follow .
I was fishing a shallow creek and a bottom debris laden lake with the rod/reel combo I put this on to test how sensitive it is and I was impressed with that aspect as well .
I really appreciate the distance before the color changes , the colors that it contains , how not noisy it is going through the guides and especially the low price .

Good braided line

I love this braid but when you use the line for a while it will start to lose color so I suggest you to use in it tropic blue water and not in dark blue water.
