I have a Doberman with a sensitive stomach and impeccable aim for my white area rug. As much fun as endlessly spot cleaning the rug is, it was time for a deeper clean. I had read good reviews about this and decided that the time was right. I'm really pleased with how easy it was to assemble and how simple it is to use. Hold the trigger down to spray the water and cleaning solution and release it to suck the water up. So simple and effective. Note: if you're trying to clean a specific spot you should still spot clean it before using this, but this just gives everything nice overall clean.

Had been looking for a carpet cleaner for a while - finally decided on this one and so mad at myself for waiting!! It was simple to put together. Simple to get ready to clean and amazing results. Wish i had done before and after photos but will post the after. My kitchen carpet takes a beating. Food drops, spills etc. 2 kids and a messy husband. This thing cleaned it so well and easily. I used very hot water. Not sure if that helped some. Did it once and then did it again to see if i could get the water "clean". The first time i had to dump the dirty water - omg. So much dirt. I also did it twice because it was pretty fun. Lol.

I really like it! It cleaned the carpet very well. I attached a before and after of the main spot in my carpet without being pretreated. The only problems are that the clean water tank is very small, I had to empty and refill it 4 times just for my small apartment living room. The dirty water tank is also hard to clean, there's just some cat litter sitting in the bottom that I can't reach to clean out.
Overall great purchase. It's small enough to have in my closet, it's lightweight and easy to use and put together.

Our house is mostly carpet free except for some area rugs. We bought this for the occasional "pet accident" that of course ends up on an area rug and not the floor.

Overall opinion: Really nice machine. Great design. Worked great. Nice size for what it is meant for.

Additional comments:
1) If you have an entire house full of wall to wall carpeting, this is not the machine for you. It is not meant for that. I saw comments that the water tank is small. This is true. It is small. That's the point. It's meant for small area cleanup and not an entire floor in one shot. It is a compact lightweight unit that is very easy to maneuver and store. If you want to regularly clean every carpet in your house then buy a bigger machine meant for that purpose.
2) I really like the water tank separate from the pickup tank. I've used the single tank with a fresh water bladder style units and they are a pain to clean. This one is a piece of cake. The pickup tank empties easily with a convenient port on the side. Very easy to rinse out and clean. The water tank fills easily, fits in a sink, and is easy to rinse out. Both tanks can be removed from the machine very easily. It's a nice design.
3) Heated water is overrated. I read complaints about it not heating the water. I filled the tank with hot water from the tap and it worked great given that the tank is small and I didn't waste time. Again, if you are taking an hour to clean an entire floor, this is not the machine for you.
4) Leaks: I haven't experienced any. Those who had that complaint either did something wrong or have a defective machine.
5) Dryness: With the suction and the air blowing, I was amazed at how little water was left on the carpet. Those who had a complaint that it left a sopping wet carpet either did something wrong or have a defective unit.
6) Cleaning the business end: This is where I have my only real complaint. The suction piece comes off very well with no tools and rinses easy. I already stated how easy the tanks are to clean. No issues there. The problem is the roller and it's respective housing. You have to remove 6 screws to take out the roller and clean the surrounding housing. This is somewhat of a pain especially when you have a dirty wet machine and you just want to be done. That being said however, once the screws were out, the roller pops right out and everything cleans up easily. I'm not calling this a show stopper for me. For others, maybe.

Needed a carpet cleaner for our area rugs now that we have puppies. This machine is unbelievable at this price. Granted it may not be a large tank for large cleanings but is definitely wonderful for filling one time for our area rugs. And the job it does is amazing. Cleans up dirt (as evidenced by the black water that empties in to a separate tank) and "spits out" the black puppy fur that was in the carpet. So easy to set up and use. Lightweight and very easy to maneuver. Highly recommend this product.
