I have had this for a couple of weeks. It seems to be high quality, well made and smartly designed. It is portable and folds up easily and comes with its own travel bag. Which is perfect for me because I have to take it to work daily. It sets up and puts away quickly and easily.
It has rubber on all the feet to protect the surface you have it on. It has rubber where the computer sits on it to keep it from sliding to the side. Two sizes of clips on the front hold the laptop up, mine is a fairly thick Dell Inspiron i17R and it is fairly secure.
The only issue (and the main reason for the four stars instead of 5) is that the description say will hold laptops up to 17", but the box that it comes in says it can only hold laptops up to 15.6". My laptop is 17" and it works fine on the lowest setting, but is to big and not secure if I try to raise it up to a higher setting. So I have only used it on the lowest setting and haven't needed to use the locking mechanism so I can't comment on those but the mechanism seems. to hold securely.
All in all it is perfect for what I needed a small portable lightweight stand to get the laptop off the table to cool it off, and to raise the screen so it is closer to eye level.
