I purchased this item to wear on a vacation (in wet rainy weather, farm and ranch properties, city walking).
I love these boots. They fit perfect with wool, thick socks. They kept my feet (especially toes) toasted warm.
I can't say enough about the boots. When I was walking they gave me a "boost" with every step. My only criticism of the boot is the tongue doesn't come up to the top and the last lacing doesn't close completely.
When wearing leggings it doesn't look "polished". I ended up folding my socks over the top. Do not hesitate to buy. They are a treat to wear!!!!! I wore them everyday for three weeks from beaches, to hills, to city streets, farms, horse back riding, boating and more. They travelled perfectly!

I've been searching for good winter boots for years. I've worn Sorels which were fine in snow, but so wide and heavy when walking on sidewalks. I've worn LL Bean shearling boots which were warm and waterproof, but painfully uncomfortable to walk in because of the zero support. I read many positive reviews about Uggs Adirondacks but initially balked at the $250 price tag. In desperation I finally gave in and bought them, and I couldn't be happier! I've worn the boots a few times - during a blizzard in sub-20 degree weather walking in 12 inches of snow for an hour, as well as in generally wet, wintry conditions in the city. My feet stayed warm and completely dry - zero snow or moisture got in. Also, they were surprisingly comfortable to walk in. I normally wear 7 in shoes - I bought 7.5 and they fit well. I have a medium width foot, and I do think the boots are on the slightly narrow side. I probably could not wear super thick socks or put orthotic inserts in these. But overall I'm happy with my purchase. They are not cheap by any means, but if you live somewhere with a long winter season where you do a lot of walking, they're worth the investment. I hope I can get several years of use out of these.

Really like the boots, I was super disappointed when I got them that the interior was synthetic I thought it was real sheep skin like the normal ugh boots. I think that's super lame they do that and charge enough it should be real fur. I wore them in 12-32 degree weather and they were really nice and warm, pretty light and easy to walk in.

Ok, after reading all the reviews of fake UGGs, I decided to do the research on whether these were real or not.

What are the markings of a fake? I googled this, and found that UGG has put a copyright © next to their UGG name on most of their shoes. They also have included a label inside with a holographic on the label. Also, fake's box labels are wonky, and overall stitching is not as good. The fur is attached to the leather in real UGGs, as opposed to two pieces in fake.

I ordered the black, and when they arrived, I closely examined them. No © next to the UGG name, but they did have the holographic on the inside label. There was a sticker that said "faux fur", but if you look inside it's only on the ankle, the foot bed and sides of the foot are shearling wool. The box label was authentic, the inside label was authentic, the stitching was perfect"¦ On to the next test.

I went to an UGG shoe store and tried them on there. No © next to the UGG name, had the holographic inside label, same box. Only difference is I tried on the brown/beige instead of the black.

So, my conclusion is:
- These are real UGGs
- They use faux fur around the ankle, but real fur around the foot, at least on the black and grey models - need to go back and double-check at the store, but I've been there twice without buying the boots and I think they're on to me :)

As for the overall fit and comfort - THEY ARE UGGS! They are awesome! With socks or without, they are warm and comfortable. Having had UGG shearling boots for over 25 years, I like them a little small, because they do get packed down. I felt these were a little big to start, and they will pack down and become loose over time.
