I ordered a black model and they sent me the white model. OK, not that big of a deal (but it really is cuz the black looks better).

So I kept the white model. I was not at all impressed with the sound. Moderately better than the stand alone Dot. And it is not very loud.

But what's worse is that after 30 days, I came home to find the thing making a hissing sound and Alexa would not respond to commands. I unplugged the Dot from the unit and plugged it back in, which temporarily halted the hissing sound. A few days later, same thing - hhissssssss.

Every few days it starts the hissing thing, rendering Alexa useless.
On top of everything else, it DOES NOT HOLD A CHARGE!

This was awesome! Looked good and sounded great, but then my return period ended. Now it won't power my DOT at all. The unit itself powers on and off, but the DOT cannot be powered in it any longer. There were no drops/bumps/removals of the device, it just stopped. I took the DOT out to see if that unit had malfunctioned and in plugging it in directly, works fine. Really disappointed!!

This speaker is amazing! I initially thought the dot on its own would provide good sound but unfortunately it was lacking in sound quality even at the highest volumes. So I had to resort to spending additional money on this speaker but it has been worth every penny. The sound quality is legit as you can actually feel the bass vs the dot speaker. I don't know how anyone can deal with the dot speaker on its own after hooking it up to this speaker. My kids are enjoying it every second as they love to have dance parties and they even complained about the dot speaker. The speaker also fits perfectly in my family room and brings a more stylish look than the dot. Overall I'd definitely recommend this speaker if you're looking for superior sound.

Alexa is the solution to all you needs. Whether you need a score to a game, recipes, or help with Algebra, Alexa is your gal. This is my first Alexa but we will definitely be adding a few more throughout our home. I like the ability to stream Amazons Music Service through Alexa. It virtually allows you to access any song with a simple command. I recommend pairing with the GGMM D6 Portable Speaker. It has superior sound quality, workmanship, and allows for Bluetooth connection. One of the other main features that a I like about the GGMM D6 Speaker is its mobility. Once charged the Dot 2 and Speaker are mobile and can be transported anywhere around your property. I like that I can have music playing while doing yard work One concern I initially had was the fear that Alexa would be listening to every word that was spoken in my house. The GGMM D6 speaker has great range and voice recognition so it only pick up when the name Alexa is spoken.

if you didn't buy the full size echo or looking to upgrade, this is the perfect add-on for it. Easy to connect, nicely designed, and great build quality. This has its own internal battery, which allows you to bring it anywhere and last roughly eight hours on a full charge from my experience. I use it mostly as a music player, so I can bring it to the kitchen while I prepare my meal. It has an AUX input as well, so you can plug it in your laptop or phone. In terms of sound quality, its definitely top notch. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase.
