Good value pool

I assembled this solo (2-2.5 hours) while 19 weeks pregnant. I highly recommend you have help, but this can be done alone if you're stubborn enough. ASSEMBLY TIPS BELOW.

Pros:
-I'm 5'7" and the top sits just below my waist. Plenty deep for my kids (ages 10, 5, and newborn) without being quite such a hands on event like my old 16' round pool that was chest deep.
-Even solo, the assembly wasn't horrible. Look up videos for clarification because the directions are lacking. See below for tips.
-It is a solid pool for under $200 (as of April 2022.) Thick, stable, and I can see this lasting a few years with maintenance.

Cons:
-Directions suck.
-You need to purchase a pump/filter separately.
-Also put a tarp under this when you set it up. Even the best of pools tear.
-There is no good cover for this pool (the one the company makes is trash) so invest in a second tarp and some clamps to diy. See pic.

Tips:
-I recommend assembling it out of the sun if you can because the poles stick to the inside of the sleeves when it's hot and then makes it harder to slide them to adjust when connecting the pieces.
-The small poles inside the rails are to make the triangle supports you do at the end so take them out as you unpack. Instructions say nothing about this.
-The T connectors don't always fully lock in to the side legs and those legs don't all make 100% contact even on perfectly level ground until the pool fills a good bit so don't stress too much.
-The side poles have a hole at the bottom as if they're supposed to click in with something but they don't. They just sit in the plastic footing.

Good luck and happy swimming!
Great for skinny dipping :)

As the temperature rises, my family and I were in search of the perfect outdoor addition to our home, and the Bestway Steel Pro Rectangular Above Ground Pool has proven to be an absolute game-changer for our summer experience.

Setting up the pool was surprisingly straightforward. The instructions were clear and concise, making the assembly process a breeze. The rectangular shape of the pool, measuring 13 feet by 7 feet with a depth of 32 inches, is perfect for both children and adults to enjoy. Its sturdy metal frame instills confidence in its durability, and it stands strong even after weeks of use.

One of the most appealing aspects of this pool is its spaciousness. There's ample room for everyone to splash around and cool off during those scorching summer days. The 32-inch depth strikes a great balance between safety and fun, allowing younger swimmers to enjoy the water while providing enough depth for adults to comfortably swim as well.

The included filter pump is a notable addition. It efficiently circulates and cleans the water, ensuring that it remains crystal clear throughout the season. The maintenance of this pool has been surprisingly hassle-free, and the pump's performance contributes significantly to this ease.

The pool's design seamlessly blends with our outdoor space. The deep blue color of the pool's lining contrasts beautifully with the surrounding greenery, creating an inviting oasis in our backyard. The durable PVC and polyester material of the pool's lining has held up remarkably well against wear and tear, which is especially important for an outdoor item.

Draining and storing the pool for the off-season is also relatively simple. The integrated drain valve makes emptying the pool a quick process, and the foldable design of the metal frame allows for easy storage when not in use.

While this pool is a fantastic addition to any outdoor space, it's important to note that its size requires a reasonably flat and level area for setup. Additionally, the setup process might require more than one person due to the size of the pool.

In summary, the Bestway Steel Pro Rectangular Above Ground Pool has exceeded our expectations in every way. It's a durable, spacious, and easy-to-maintain pool that has brought endless joy to our family and friends this summer. If you're seeking a reliable and enjoyable solution to beat the heat, I wholeheartedly recommend this pool. It's transformed our outdoor experience and turned our backyard into a private aquatic haven.
We love this pool but…

It's thinner material on the bottom and easily punctured. We purchased this pool for our pups to cool off during this scorching summer. We keep their nails trimmed so not exactly sure why it tears so easily. We used the sealing patches supplied and so far they are working. The size and depth is perfect for them and they love playing in it. I hope it holds up for use next year but the support rods are already beginning to rust on the ends. I would still recommend this pool for the price point and size.
my dog had so much fun, wish they had same size w more depths for goldens

Assemble: Easy, just connecting tubes. maybe as i bought a used one, it didn't come with charts. they do come with different lengths, but it's still easy.

Size: i got 87*59*17, width and length are good. but depth its too shallow for Golden Retriever to actually SWIM. Unable to find such a depth in smaller L*W here, I had to get another one from Taobao.

Protection pad: After learning some lessons from gravel scratches, I put some kid's cushion pads underneath to protect my 2nd pool.

Maintenance: I did get a pool blaster to vacuum the hair underneath the pool ($150), usually every morning. I put 3 different water clearance stuff after some research. otherwise, the pool water will grow much green algae after 4 days and you will need to brush and refill.

waterproof patch: the patch comes w it doesn't work, they peel off after three days. I had to get another brand.

if you use it as doggie pool: even with kids pads (for underground gravels) + waterproof patches, you would expect doggies to still scratch it sometimes, as if they see sth in the water. it only lasts one month for us. but my dogs have so much fun! i love and would never regret those fun summer times!
Great value for money, good durability, barebones manual
LandoftheLostandFound✓ Verified PurchaseDecember 16, 2023
Echoing what the consensus here seems to be:
Great value for money, manual leaves a lot to be desired, additional purchases recommended.

Got the 9.8' x 6.6' x 26" rectangular pool - bought before the summer rush at a wildly low price, pump included (other reviews mention not getting a pump; the listing we used stated an included pump clearly and, indeed, it came with the pool).

The pool lining is sturdier than hoped, we still added a tarp liner underneath the pool set-up, to be safe. Also bought a recommended pool cover ( a simple tie-down tarp with grommets). Definitely would recommend both purchases, especially if your yard is a little on the wild/woody side.

The tube framing is good - I will add that I wish the 'feet' would attach to the tube legs with a similar bolt lock that keeps the corner pieces in place. Before filling the pool with water, legs would repeatedly just... fall off and roll across the lawn or disconnect from their 'feet'. Not great as you do final adjustments on the placement and smooth out tarp folds. It's the only part of construction that lends the pool a 'rickety' feel - once the pool is assembled, placed and filled, it no longer feels rickety.

Beyond that, the pool is sturdy, leak-proof (haven't needed any of the liner patches) and the pump works as intended. I'd hoped this would last us one season before investing in something more high-spec, but if this stores well over the winter, it's well worth re-using next summer. As our pool is set-up underneath a party tent, the pump is sufficient - but I'd imagine if you keep it uncovered and/or have very high traffic with small children or similar, you might need a better pump than the one included. For us, that one is fine as we don't really track debris into the water.

As frequently mentioned in reviews, the instruction sheet is awful. I'm a pretty seasoned manual-follower, but the tiny pictogram-only instructions were more of a headache than expected. Also, bear in mind that half the narrow tubes are stored within the wider-diameter tubes - if you find yourself short of a couple legs, they're hidden within the other ones.

In summary: great price tag, two people definitely recommended for set-up because of escaping tubing, surprising durability. I would absolutely recommend this pool for a first-time/temporary 'let's see if a pool is for us' set-up.
