I got these because I was tired of fighting the pepper shaker. I can never get enough pepper out of the box, onto the food as I am cooking. It flies all over the stove. So, I bought a one pound bottle of table grind pepper, it's a little less fine than the grocery store boxed type. Got out my ball jar with a handle and popped on this lid. It works great. I also make my own rubs and spice blends, so the larger holes work great for that too.

Dithered several days about ordering these after I spotted them on Amazon. Wanted something practical and handy for holding PeachDish salt seasoning. The shaker lids fit the 4 oz jars, left from Quark cheese produced by a local company, into perfect containers for the PeachDish salt and other seasonings. Three are currently in use and I'm sure the fourth will join the lineup on my counter. The jars wipe off easily and the covers on the shaker lids help with quick clean-up.

I put these lids on Mason Jars to have decorative dispensers for all my bulk seasonings. Make my own labels and display these in my kitchen. Seasonings shake out easily and because of the snap on lid the holes are covered and seasonings stay fresh. Fit on "Regular" opening jars and you can find various size jars on Amazon.
