Ah, I remember the moment well. It was a brisk March evening in Kansas City. Just cool enough for a heavy shirt yet not warm enough to remove the comforter from the bed. All was well in my bedroom but it occurred to me that this one little corner, occupied only by a small, off-brand wood wick candle, was far too ominous for even the most demonic of beings.
I perused the wild expanses of Amazon, searching for something to ignite life in this wretched, ghastly nook in my quarters.
Then it happened. My inquest led me directly to this most simple of lamp bases. What drew me nearer was the Edison bulb that was recommended it be sold with.
This combination seemed too perfect. Simple yet sleek and elegant.
Upon delivery, the lamp and bulb were everything I had expected. Perfectly complementary to my Autumn Evenings candle and a 1984 copy of the United States Constitution. Not to mention afterlife-like glow from the resplendent 40w Edison bulb.
