I haven't had time to use it extensively yet, but it seems worth it so far. Research suggested this is the best option, and I have no reason to disagree at this point. Only minor complaint is the case appears to be made in China going by the symbols on the back of it. Not necessarily a bad thing, but China doesn't have the best reputation for quality products. I hope the thing can handle the abuse of being carried to and from work. It's just a little flimsy. Not terribly, but a little. The outer case with Baker of Seville actually printed on it is cardboard. That's not going to last.
I don't recall it saying in the description so, fyi, it comes with 6 FluDear Super Platinum razor blades. One is pre-installed in the curve configuration. The other five are wrapped and stored conveniently in the case under the lame. Another plus for the case: it's very safe. I think you'd have to be trying in order to get cut taking the lame out or putting it back in. There's no reason for your hand to be anywhere near the blade.
Finally, The lame is heavy (good) and all metal. I'm no metal expect, I could be wrong, but something about it screams "Keep me away from moisture. I will rust." Again, I could be wrong. I'm just going by looks. Still, I'm going to be careful with water around it.

Scoring made easy

This is only tool I can use to score my sourdough. I am clumsy, and with other lames I had several injuries. This one is perfect. I can put blade in without cutting myself, and spacer makes it easy to decide if you want it straight ot curved. Beautifully built, and quality to last. I love it.
Really good, with some room for improvement

As others are saying, this is a very high quality product and I think it will be around and still beautiful long after I'm gone. It's my first lame, so I can't compare it to others, but it definitely is sturdy and gets the job done.
I have some minor complaints about it, where I think it could be improved:
1) The plastic storage box it came in is incredibly flimsy, and even though there is an arrow indicating that you should slide the lid off horizontally and little guides/indentations on the sides as though that is the only way to open it, it's so thin that the lid can simply be pulled straight off (upwards, not sliding it) and it kind of falls off when handled. I wouldn't trust this box to stay together if I was going to pack it for travel. Compared to the lame which is so beautiful and sturdy, the box is wimpy, unprotective, and low quality (although the foam insert is nice).
2) Occasionally, I feel like the screw-on cap that holds the blade in place is in the way. Depending on the angle of your work, it might poke into your dough. This wouldn't be an issue with a traditional lame. Mostly it's not an issue, but it could be, depending on what you are doing, especially because it's sticking out on the side of the curve, which means it's always pointing down at your dough.
3) I do wish that the handle had some sculpting so that it's not just totally smooth and potentially slippery. It would be nice if there was something to grip, like some indentations for your fingers (think toothbrush handle).

Much easier than using a knife

I had been using a sharp paring knife to make my cuts.
This item is soooo much better.
I absolutely do recommend.
