Number one: Made in the USA. These buckets are worth the extra money, they are heavier duty than any of the big box store buckets. Plus, they are food grade. I liked the first three so much I bought three more.

I purchased these for my chickens as water buckets and well, lets just say make sure they are in full shade unless you want hot water or whatever. These buckes really heat up the water fast if in the sun.

These are superb buckets. Basically perfect, including material and tops. I use them for lots of thing in garage and house. Yes, they are expensive, but one pays more for American made stuff so that the American makers can offer good wages to fellow Americans and such.
