Good for older kilns

Sorta finicky- the beam is sometimes hard to aim. It does what it's supposed to do. I use t for my manual kiln to see what temp I'm getting close to through a peep hole.
I have nothing to compare it to, but it seems to work great

It's a temperature Gun, very large temperature range. Great for cooking, checking register temperatures, and any other high speed distance reads. Laser is fairly accurate.

The handle has a rubberized grip. The unit looks pretty well built. I would recommend this unit. The manual is a little vague but tolerable.
