Works great at reducing glare on bright sunny days. I used for the first time last weekend, all my photos and video came out really nice looking, since I was looking up a lot with a pheasant hunt I was on. It does have to be taken on and off ( which is very easy to do, and does hold tight where it doesn't fall off though) to take camera out of the case. I use on a Hero 5 Black.

I've heard talk about you don't need to spend on good quality glass Nd filters to get good results. Well there you have it... do you want good results or great results. I am from a photography background and when I started using ND filters I went with cheap plastic. Big mistake. They left a heavy color cast, vignetting and loss of resolution. Sure you can correct some of that in post production but with these that is not necessary. I will always spend on good quality glass filters...every time I have been happy with results!!! These are great! Fits snug on to my hero black 5. No color cast or vignetting. Quality glass for quality results. I've seen reviews to similar products talking about how fragile some of these filters are. Anything made of glass should be handled with care. I'm sure if dropped are just not handled carefully could result in glass breaking. Framing seems durable, doesn't feel cheap at all. Well packaged as well. I purchased the 8 and 16. I'll be purchasing the 32 as well. Invest in quality.

So far so good, bought a ND16 for Hero 5 Black. Frame is made of aluminum with anodized silver finish and lens is glass. The fit is snug over the existing housing so it's secure. I was able to video outside in mid day sunny condition at 24fps, 1/48 SS and ISO 100 for more of cinematic look and to be able to color gradeband match my Panasonic G85 recording. Base on this performance I'm buying the ND32 for brighter condition
