I was worried this wouldn't work with drop ins (I already have a couple of echo shows..) and it doesn't officially, however, since its android, you can use the same alexa app you use on your phone and drop in, so it's not handsfree but it's not a big deal. It has a native Alexa app that enables you to use it handsfree and having forgotten to mute my echo show when I was trying this one out, this responded faster than the show EVERY time!
I was able to install Netflix and Hulu in it and can use it with YouTube all options I don't have with my show(s). And i can use it wirelessly which is AMAZING.. heck, you don't need more than one when you can take it from room to room so between that and that I didn't have to compromise my echo home for Android convenience.. I'm a happy camper 😆 It's also great for my son while I'm cooking. In all seriousness, between what I've spent on my shows, tablets for him, portable DVD players for him... I think I would have saved A LOT of money if I had spent the money on this earlier!

Review so far it seems the idea of having both alexa and google on one device ..I'll give a 5 for now but that may change if it doesn't perform as adverstised..
Powerful smart speaker with Alexa and Google Assistant

This is a very nice "smart" speaker which has built-in voice assistant feature. It runs on Android N with "Clzaio" home screen overlaying on it but user can easily switch back and forth by pressing the "home" button. The basic controls and navigation works very similar to any Android tablet as the screen is touch screen. It also comes with a remote control (2 AAA batteries required) for using the speaker at a distance.
I like the built-in speaker a lot as it offers very strong bass (the table would shake a bit when I watch movies). The overall OS/UI is pretty responsive and I have no problem accessing Play Store (to install other apps). It utilizes a far-field microphone in order to hear user clearly in a distance. I have no problem waking the speaker up and give voice commands in a noisy environment at 15-20 feet. It has built-in Amazon Alexa voice assistant and works with thousands of Skills available.

I really think this is an awesome device. I was a bit skeptical at first because it is not a brand that I had heard of before, but it is definitely good quality. The screen looks great (sorry you cannot see it well in my video) and the audio also sounds very crisp. One thing that is important to keep in mind is that you must keep it plugged in overnight if you want to use it a lot the next day. Much like your phone, you can't expect its battery to last multiple days with normal use
Really enjoy access to both Google Assistant and Alexa!

I already had an Echo Dot but was really tempted to get an Echo Show because of its video features. However after reading all the feuds going on with Google and Amazon involving YouTube, I decided to invest somewhere else. This smart speaker with touchscreen support turns out to be exactly what I want.
Externally the speaker is very compact so it's easily portable. It's also stylish so it will fit nicely in any environment: kitchen counter, office desk, bedroom nightstand, etc. The sound quality is very nice with a heavy bass for music. It also comes with a remote control for the occasions where voice command isn't sufficient.
As for the software, it's running Android 7.0 with access to the Google Play Store so you can pretty much install any apps that you may need. You can just use the "ok google" phrase to wake up Google Assistant. The speaker comes with an app called Clazio which is your gateway to Alexa. Running this app in the background in order to catch the "Alexa" keyword is turned off by default. You can manually launch the app to access Alexa, or turn on that feature to use voice to wake up Alexa. I really like the ability to access both Google Assistant and Alexa on the same device because all of my audiobooks/music contents are invested in the Amazon ecosystem, but I want to access YouTube contents from time to time without worrying that YouTube will block the access at any time.
