This is my second order of these pliers because the first one held up very well after about a dozen sterilization cycles.
The tips of these cotton pliers are amazingly precise and well-aligned as you can see from the photos. Of course, you will see a quality difference when you want to nit-pick and compare them for example with the more expensive Aesculap-branded pliers which are manufactured on German-made equipment. You can see in the photo that the tip of the Aesculap pliers are more regular and even. But from a practical point of view, the Wise cotton pliers work just as well when grabbing tissue or small-diameter sutures like 4-0.
The company claims that these cotton pliers have a "'stop pin' design to prevent finger puncture" -- and have to admit that my fingers do not get poked when I squeeze the pliers really hard. However, if you have to squeeze THIS hard, then you definitely are using the wrong pliers for whatever work you are trying to do! ;)
Bottom line: I can absolutely recommend these high-value cotton pliers without reservation.

I had a pair and lost them so was delighted to find these as a replacement. They are the best! I keep them by my sewing machine where they are very helpful.
