Size up, perfect for snow

Size up, runs tight
Waterproof, kept feet dry & warm (with wool socks)
Fashion & function together in one

I bought these for Lake Tahoe Snowglobe music festival. I usually wear 8.5 in women's & on the wide feet side. I went with 9.5 women's due to others' reviews. They come out the box real tight in the toe box, but it's just the puffy insulation. I wore thick socks & walked around the house a little to pack it down some.

After 2 days of wear out in the elements on my feet for hours in the snow they're a perfect fit! They performed super well through these past couple of days. My feet stayed dry & relatively warm with 2 pairs of socks. Temperatures were as low as 20 degrees. They didn't hurt or chafe even being on my feet for hours, dancing in the snow throughout the night. They were a little slippery on the icy parts of the street, but did great with the treads in snow.

Overall I definitely recommend this boot! Best purchase I made for this trip. Comfort, style, function all in one.
Cute, but traction is not great

Let me start with the positives: 1) this shoe is so cute and easy to slip on with everything and I feel slightly more put together when walking my child to school. 2) the sole is removable, allowing you to use your orthotic. 3) as long as I wear thick socks my toes feel fairly warm; I took the advice of many reviewers and bought a 1/2 size up from my normal sneaker/boot size. 4) my feet are always dry.

The negatives: 1) the traction is about a B or B- on wet pavement, which is where I'm doing most of my walking. It is great on any dirt or mud, but if I'm walking on wet pavement I might slip a bit walking downhill or even slip backwards when walking uphill. It's not terrible, but I have to be mindful so I don't fall - especially when pushing a stroller down a steep hill. 2) they're moderately comfortable but not amazing; they seem more designed to look cute than to be able to walk miles in them.

Overall, I like them but when they wear out I plan on finding something with better traction that is still cute but slightly more comfortable.
I LOVE these boots!

I bought these boots for my trip to Iceland, and I absolutely love them. Very comfortable, warm, fits perfect and goes well with anything. I love the grip and they are great to walk in snow, mud or at the city. This were my first Sorel pair, and after this great experience, I ordered other pairs also. I super recommend if you are looking for quality and comfortable boots.
Great on soft snow, terrible for ice or slick surfaces

It's a great boot when you're hiking on fresh soft snow but the ridges provide absolutely no traction to the floor. The sole has ridges which should provide some better grip but it's deceiving as it's made with a smooth plastic material instead of rubber so it'll just slip and slide. It's a great boot if you got clamp-ons to pair it with.
Perfectly styled PNW look but with function and purpose!

Never owned or tried on a pair of Sorel's, so guessing my size was a gamble. I always wear a size 8.5 in everything, and ordered a half size up as many of the reviews suggested and got a size 9. I do wear thin socks, but perhaps that will change this winter. At a half size up, these definitely feel big with thin socks, and I haven't even broken them in yet. So maybe with thicker socks, the fit will be spot-on. Nervous about that but I love the look of them enough to give them a go anyway. I haven't worn them in the rain yet to comment on their waterproof/water resistance stamina, but upon inspection, they seem to be quality-stitched and very sturdy without being too heavy or bulky. I ordered these for function, which is still yet to be determined, and for style, which I think is a definite winner. As far as size goes. I would probably have got away with my usual 8.5, but then could have run the risk of them being too snug with warm cozy socks. My suggestion is to go try them on somewhere, pick the size you want, then order on Amazon to get the better price! 🤷"â'€ï¸

When shopping, I compared these to the Sperry duck boots (and many other high-end and popular boot brands). I was disappointed that the Sorel's did not have zip up sides like the Sperry's, but again gambled on it anyway because of looks and function. I am not disappointed. They are easy on and off, especially not lacing the last holes (my style preference). I saw another review where a user said they couldn't get their feet/heels into these, but I can't understand why. I have what you may call "cankles" and these went on just fine, even without a zipper. No regrets.

The package came on time, arrived in good condition, and was packaged in a waterproof/plastic type Amazon shipping bag. The packaging and inside product was not damaged or soiled. The boots came in an authentic Sorel box, were covered in tissue paper, had Sorel tags on, and were stuffed with dense wads of tissue paper to maintain their form. 👌

I was not paid for this review, but should be!
I recommend this product. ðŸ‘
