If, like me, you're just getting started skateboarding and don't want to spend big money for name-brand wheels, these will do. My skills aren't refined enough to tell good wheels from bad, but when I took off the small, hard skate park trick riding wheels that came with by board and replaced them with these larger, softer wheels my enjoyment and ease of just rolling around as I get used to skating was greatly increased and I have not had any problems with durability. You might want to spend a few dollars for better bearings, though the ones that come with the wheels are OK if not great.

I put these on my old Chad Muska for my daughter to learn on. I wanted soft wheels specifically for her to start and my old bearings were shot. The wheels are really good if you are looking for a soft cruising wheel. The bearings are pretty bad but for the price and my usage this all works pretty well.

In any other state from TX would be fine. The wheels become soft when it reaches over 95°F. Does great on any surface and its not a struggle to get bearings in.

I read a couple reviews before I bought these saying that the bearings they came with weren't very good, so along with them I bought some bone reds bearings to replace them with.
The wheels themselves are high quality and were a simple drop in replacement for the wheels I initially bought for my skateboard, which were more for indoor use.
These are amazing for skating outside, and provide a very smooth ride over cracks bumps and pebbles. HIGHLY recommend for any beginner skaters
