I love this leather binder for my journal....it is easy to insert pages, unlike the bound journals I was using previously, it has a soft feel and a nice weight to it and a nice distressed look to it. Although I thought it to be a bit pricey, I feel it was definitely worth the $$.

I impressed with the quality and craftsmanship of this binder. You will be too. It's pleasing instantly because you can tell from the feel that it will age well. Wondering how it can accommodate such a large variation in page number? With your binder you will receive hardware for various total page numbers. My one complaint is the discoloring on the inside of the leather. Normally this would be enough to knock down the rating but the rest of the product is just that good. I hope they have more sizes and introduce new colors so I can use these in a plethora of ways!

This product is essentially a leather report cover with three hole posts. The leather looks very nice. It comes with a pack of extender posts for a 50+ page capacity. It is not so much of a complaint, but an observation. The design does not allow the front cover to open flat (i.e., posts instead of a three ring binder), meaning that if you want to write on the pages, you have to bend the front cover and the other pages open. For this reason, this product seems more suitable as a report cover for reading pages, rather than a leather bound notebook/journal or a three ring binder for writing. Also, the leather is thick, but soft, so if you want to protect the pages from being bent during upright storage on a shelf or transport in a briefcase, you should consider adding a cardboard backing as the "last page" of the product. Overall, I like the look of the product, but I should have thought more carefully about how I intended to use it as a notebook/journal for writing (and not as a report cover for reading).
