Boot is smaller than this year’s model in same size.

They left incriminating evidence in the box"¦ after I paid $140 + tax, they sent a shoe that appeared to be on discount for $93 at a Sorel retailer. Was the shoe returned and on sale for a reason? I'll never know"¦
I was also a little surprised by the shape of the shoe. I recently purchased this year's version of the same shoe in a different color. I was super excited to buy a more neutral beige color in the same style, but this shoe fits completely differently despite looking the same. For some reason, it is much more snug on my toes. I can only wear this shoe with tights, so I'm hoping the boot itself is warm enough. Haven't had the chance to try out the water proofing yet, but I am satisfied with the style of the boot so far.

I ordered a size 9, but received a 10 which turned out to be a happy accident! Normally I wear a size 8.5 in athletic shoes and size 8 in open-toed shoes or sandals. I have high arches, a narrow heel and slightly wide forefoot. Size 8.5 Brooks (pictured
here in my review with the Sorrel boot) fit me PERFECTLY with regular socks. These size 10 boots are only slightly larger than my 8.5 shoe and fit me very comfortably with moderately thick wool socks. Very well made, soft, warm, SUPPORTIVE, and stylish! I'll be in the snow within a couple weeks, so I'll update my review then to note how it holds up in snow and ice.
**UPDATE**
I've been out in the rain and snow several times now, and my feet stay completely warm and dry. No notable staining on the leather. Definitely a keeper.

This is the 2nd time I purchased these. The first pair lasted well over 5 years. I was so excited to buy these again and find they fit perfectly. Very supportive and beautiful boot!
Happy with the color and style, runs small

Like the style a lot. One thing I have noticed with several of my Sorel boots is that the crown (if I am labeling it correctly) is too short in relation to the collar. This probably makes the boots easier to put on and take off - but it feels awkward when you walk because there is a lot of space between the front of your shin and the crown of the boot for your foot to move around in... it's hard to explain but I have this same problem with two other Sorel boots - and I do NOT have skinny calves. The flat part of the boot (over the top of your foot) needs to continue for another two inches - before becoming the shaft of the boot (against your calf).
It doesn't seem as bad on this pair as some of my others... but it is still an issue. I love the way they look and they are comfortable. They run small. I am a 10.5 and I ordered an 11. Snug but they will work.
Overall I am happy with them out of the box - have not worn them anywhere yet.

Great product as to be expected from Sorel. I took my friends advice & bought a size down bc she said hers stretched out A LOT and she wished she had sized down. I wish I would have bought a 1/2 size smaller than my regular size. I like to wear extra thick socks & didn't take that into account. They are stretching out well though and I can wear with medium thick socks for hours now. If I wear with regular socks they're perfect for running around town in the snow but my toes get cold if I'm standing in snow for a prolonged period or standing on cold concrete. My feet get cold easy and these have definitely held up better than my hunting boots that were double the price and supposedly made to be in the cold for hours. Worth the price. I would just make sure to return if the size isn't right. Expect a little stretch but not an entire size worth.
