We have been doing Keto for sometime but I was still using my regular well known brand of mayo for a few dishes. Since I used it so seldom ( maybe a couple tablespoons total in a 3 month period), I told myself it was ok. Well, realistically I knew the first ingredient in my well known brand is soybean oil, so I knew even a tiny amount of that was something I did not want to be consuming. Plus I am sure some other ingredients that were in it as well. As such, I started my quest for a ready made mayo that I knew would have only healthy fats. There are no shortages of recepis on You Tube for Keto mayo, and I have actually made one or two. They are quite tasty, the only negative was once made, you can only store them for about one week. I wanted something that would last at least a month. Enter Primal Kitchen mayo made with avacado oil. I was skeptical as nothing has ever compared to my regular (unhealthy) brand in taste or consistency, but I went for it. I was pleasantly surprised. It is every bit as creamy, and thick. It also last quite a while. I don't recall how long the jar say's to keep it, but I have had this jar for possibly 2 months now and it is still very tasty and fresh. My only negative is that for me the avacado oil makes it a tad "heavy" in taste. I like avacado oil and use it in other things, but I think I may like this mayo better if it were made with olive oil. All in all, this was more of a test for me I guess. I discovered there is a good / healthy product I can buy, along with the fact it has a decent shelf life. Both worth finding out. I suspect for the amount I actually use ( for the occassional egg salad, or tuna salad, making my own is the best way to go. It's just nice to know a product exists if I need it.

Love this product. Love everything from Primal Kitchen. These make fantastic chicken/tuna salads. A wonderful replacement for mayo with the dodgy ingredients. Tastes great, healthy fats, and an amazing product.

One problem I have trying to buy mayonnaise in my local supermarkets is that they all seem to have sugar somewhere in the ingredient list. Sugar, corn syrup, etc, it is hard to find mayo without it. I was attracted to this mayo because I like avocado oil, and this mayo doesn't have any added sugar.

The taste for me was amazing. Taste is always a matter of individual tastes, and this is different than usual store-bought mayonnaises I've had over the years, but this is so much better. This tastes more like fresh home made mayo. I also really like the chipotle lime flavor for burgers; I use the original flavor for chicken and tuna and most other uses.

There was a small amount of oil separation in one of the jars. I spooned this out along with the mayo on burger buns and this was really no problem, no affect on taste or texture or flavor blend into the burger. This is now my favorite mayo.

The ORIGINAL product I bought was outstanding. I have purchased a total of 3 times. This last time I bought one of these it came in a squeezable bottle. The bottle appeared to have no flaws and the expiration date was clearly printed. The first time I opened it, I used some and placed it into the refrigerator. After that it turned into a hardened glob and would not squeeze out. Then I opened the lid to force some out. I stirred it to try to make it return to a spreadable consistency, but it had more of a watery texture instead and had somehow acquired a strange flavor along with the undesirable texture.

The Chipotle, even though it's an addition to the original for me was the better of the two. It's a little weird because the first time I bought it I bought the original. After I bought the duo pack the original paled to the Chipotle almost ten fold. I almost could finish the original the taste was so different from what I remembered.
I'd buy the Chipotle again, but not the original. In fact, I did find and buy another brand for my original all-natural (no soybean oil, and no sugar added) mayonnaise.
