This is a great product BUT there is room for improvement in operation of the ventahood! I don't like the way you have to hit the power button to turn on anything; the fan or the lights! Also, there is only one light setting; not adjustable like my previous product. They must manufacture the product with the blue film on because it is an absolute pain to get all of that film off. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the product: it just looks stunning with our new island. I would recommend the product. Installation was not hard; definitely need 2 people.

The media could not be loaded. Quality vent hood with great suction power. The installation could be simplified by making the stainless steel chimney two pieces (front and back) that clamps together at the seams on each side. I would imagine 90% of the installs will be on a standard 8 ft. ceiling which would eliminate the need for separate inner and outer chimney trim pieces. You get 8 angle iron pieces each 24" long that mount to the ceiling bracket. For 8 ft. ceilings you only need to use 4 of them which allows the final install height from top of cooktop to bottom of the vent hood to be 34". This is what worked for me having to measure and cut the stainless steel chimney trim pieces. Cut the inner chimney at 12" long. Cut the outer chimney at 14" long. These measurements allows enough clearance to first mount the inner chimney at the top to the bracket and support legs. Then slip the outer chimney over everything and push it up all the way top/ceiling supporting it with supplied clips. Next place the main unit under the chimney setup, lower the outer chimney, connect your duct and electrical. Now push the outer chimney back to the ceiling and support with clips. Then lift the main unit up and mount on all four sides to the 4 angle iron supports. Finally lower the chimney outer trim dow to the vent hood. As you can see, since the chimney is just trim, installation could have been much simpler had the just made a 24 inch long chimney in 2 pieces that snaps together on both sides. You could install/mount the unit first without having to work around the chimney trim.

So far so good, installed 4 months ago, very nice quality and does its job well. Did have some conceled damage on the chimney part, but was able to straighten out the couple of dents.

With its price definitely amazing! It sucks the smell and smoke everytime I cook multiple pots/pans simultaneously, the led lights are bright enough even bot turning on my kitchen lights. The sound just too loud when it is on its max but its ok, I did not expect this has 2 control touch panels on each side which is amazing! And the filters are washables

We needed to install a hood for the addition of a gas range. Ordered this unit due to CFM rating and shipping time. We were under a tight deadline to get it and get it installed. It came quickly and without any damage to the shipping box.

My installation was a bit more involved as i had to reconnect to an existing duct that was covered over during a renovation the previous owner did years ago. Thankfully there was electric power already in the same spot, just needed to add an outlet.

The instructions aren't great, but that's where YouTube is helpful. There are a handful of videos on installing island hoods. Not this exact model, but they are very similar.

My one gripe is that if you plan to hang the hood at a higher level you may need to cut the chimney duct. If you want to use it at it's highest level the stainless covers don't work without some rework. I have 8ft ceilings in my kitchen and if I was to install this as the directions lead, my hood would be about 15-20 inches off the top of the stove and directly in my face. I got it to work out with some improvising, but will need to redo the chimney to make it look better.

I have not tested it with actual cooking to see how well it evacuates smoke/steam, but a piece of paper sucks up to it on all settings. The fan is a bit loud, but would only use the high setting when cooking generates a lot of smoke.

I don't find the LED lights to be too bright/dim. In our situation they work well, adding good light to the cooking surface.

This installation isn't for the beginner home improvement type, you need to have a good knowledge of various types of skills, but overall it seems to be a good unit and is pretty sharp looking.
