My new favorite shoe
Ellen✓ Verified PurchaseSeptember 13, 2023
I broke my right foot 3 years ago and have a plate and 7 screws in the heel, so it is important that the shoe have firm support below my ankle but also be cushioned enough to protect the bottom of my feet. I have been wearing Skechers GoRun since I was released to walk again and been happy with them. I tried these with some worry they would not be as comfortable. But they are an improvement for me because the soles are not as squishy so walking in my yard, which is steep, is much more comfortable. Even though the directions say to walk a few hours a day at first, these fit me so well and were so comfortable from the git-go, I wore them all day and now several days in a row. Love them.

I have been having an issue with another brand I've worn for years. Based on the fact the new pair from the previous brand were giving me such heel and hip pain, I switched to these...What a difference!
As recommended, I have worn them three days for walking 3-4 miles each day. The heel pain isn't there and I'm not walking around in bare feet feeling like my heels are bruised after walking 3-4 miles for my exercise. The shoe is perfect with the athletic insole added and a lightweight sock. Tried it with a heavier sock, too tight, no sock...ok, but my feet were sweaty. Today, a lightweight one and the fit was ideal.
A bit hard, but pretty and grateful for the inserts.

My first impression when I opened the box was how great was the packaging. So well wrapped and organized. The shoes are very pretty and sturdy.
The design is also very efficient, it helps you to walk from heel to toe.

I tried them first just the way they arrived (without any of the extra inserts) and they felt a bit hard. Luckily the shoes come with a couple of extra inserts. Those inserts go under the inner sole.

The yellow pair are called "perfect fit", and you can combine wearing them with the "corrective fit" or the "comfort fit" (my shoes came with the confort inserts already.)

I have a broken foot (my right one, but the shoe fitted nicely regardless the mild swelling that remains. It felt nice and secured.)

I tried the comfort fit inserts + the yellow ones, and it helps a lot.

Then I exchanged them for the "corrective fit" inserts + the yellow ones, and it feels different, but good. Those have a bit more of arch support. I have flat feet, maybe those inserts will be helpful later on.

On top of that I even tried them wearing the 3 inserts at the same time, and also the combination of "comfort + corrective" inserts 😅 but I don't think you are supposed to do that.

For now I just left the yellow+confort inserts.ðŸ‘ðŸ»

I still need to wear the tennis more to "break" them.

I like the fit, they are thick and at the same time well padded. Hopefully they will help me with my plantar fascitis. "Lucky me" ha! (Broken foot, flat feet and plantar fascitis ðŸ'„🫣)

In resume, I am happy with my purchase, impressed of how quickly they arrived and how pretty the tennis are. I hope after reading this you can have a better idea about buying these shoes.

Note: I will update my review if the shoes remain too hard.
1st reaction to my new shoes.

I just received my new shoes and they are wonderful!! I have been a strict Hoka wearer for about 10 years but was very disappointed in my last pair. So I decided to try out Gdefy.. the fit is great and I am very happy with the initial quality. I can't wait to see how they preform over time!
Nice alternative to Shape Ups

Due to issues with multiple joints from a connective tissue issue, I have worn Sketcher Shape Ups for years. Sadly, my last pair fell apart. Since they were discontinued, I have been trying to find another rocker type shoe. I have been wearing the gdefy for a week and really like them. While the gdefy sneakers have less of a rocker feel when stepping, the Comfort Fit insoles provided and shoes themselves are supportive and comfortable. Only the front of the gdefy rolls when stepping, as opposed to the front and back of the Shape Ups. Initially, the extra cushioning in the heel of the gdefy felt weird, but it definitely allowed me to walk more and have less pain at the end of the day. Given other reviews, I ordered a size up and the sneakers fit great. I usually wear a 7.5 and ordered an 8. Given price and comfort I would order these shoes again.
