Very durable lightweight axe

This double headed axe or hatchet come very sharp and it is very sturdy. I bought it to practice throwing it, to which I dont recommend only because of the weight. The handle is so lightweight the axe is pretty top-heavy so using this axe as a throwing axe is probably not going to make you happy. Having said that, after throwing this axe at least 50 times from about 10-15ft at a tree and it not sticking once, it also didnt break, chip, snap or anything. The quality and craftsmanship and treamendous on this axe and at this price it's a steal. Buy now
Great axe! Well worth the price.

This arrived super sharp right out of the box. It chops green or dry wood with ease - I had no problem clearing out dead limbs from my campsite. It has held its edge quite well.
Two cons to this axe though, are:
1. The sheath is difficult to get the tool in and out of. I ended up modifying mine.
2. I found the handle a bit too smooth where you grip it. I added textured tape wrap in order to prevent it from slipping from my hand.
All in all, this is still a really nice axe and well worth the price!

Overall, for the money, a nice tool. Grinds not even in places, sheath is a joke but covers the sharp part I like the hammer side for pounding stakes, etc.
VERY IMPORTANT, a Youtuber reviewed this and referred to it having rivets on the handle, they are not rivets, they are chicago screws with T-10 heads.
So you can tighten up the screws if the handle gets loose.

AWESOME all around cutting tool.

Best all around hatchet I've ever had. The hammerhead & light weight make it ideal for dual use & its TOUGH. ALL of its force is centered on the head & it outperforms anything in its class. As an Alaskan bushman who uses many remote bush tools this one is my favorite.
Sharp as a mother and light as a feather (relatively speaking).

I carry this in my waist belt while trail running with my dogs in case we run into a pack of coyotes or violent tweakers. I've cut myself with the points every time I've done drills swinging it - man-o-man I would not want to be on the other side.
