This is a neat tool for the kitchen that serves multiple purposes so it's nice to have. It works in a pot as a steamer rack, but can also be used on the table as a trivet. We've also used it as a pie cooling place and the handles make it nice to move the pie around with. Overall a neat invention I think.

I've never been able to cook hard boiled eggs correctly. I know that sounds extremely lame but they were always so difficult to peel. The eggs would have chunks taken out all over them and look horrible. This rack and my Instant Pot worked AMAZING together. The shells peeled off so nicely. The eggs still looked beautiful and were perfectly shaped.
I used this insert in my 6qt Instant Pot. I put 2 1/2 cups water in the pot with the insert. I placed 7 Eggland's Best size large eggs in the rack. Turned it on for 6 minutes on high pressure. I got busy with other stuff and wasn't able to get back to the eggs until about 7 minutes after the pot was done cooking. I quick released the pressure, used tongs to place the eggs in a large bowl and filled with ice cold water to cool. About ten minutes later I peeled them. They came out beautiful.

This trivet works great in the InstantPot. My only concern is that it holds seven eggs, not six, not twelve, but seven. Just seemed odd to me. However. It does the job it is intended to do and My eggs turn out perfect every time.

Thought this was a frivolous purchase for my Instant Pot, but I bought it anyway. Works beautifully, and suddenly it's possible to volunteer to bring deviled eggs to potlucks. After cooking, just put the entire rack in a metal pan filled with ice and water and in a few minutes drain and shake the eggs against the sides of the pot so the shells crack all over. The eggs peel beautifully, and there is no greenish edge surrounding the yolks.

I use it for more then just eggs in my IP!!..along with the trivet that comes with your IP, you can use this as an extra level, and cook more then one item..such as tilapia in foil, with herbs and your seasonings on the bottom and Broccoli Florettes in foil on top..4-5 minutes and you done..
