Great Slider! I had a few issues but they were taken care of. Overall Great Customer service and products. If you like to travel a lot and travel light with your gear I would suggest the 31 inch version. If you are using this as a tool for time lapse or commercial style gigs where smaller gear will not matter so much I would suggest this 48 inch slider. I do not suggest getting the slider simply based on it being a few dollars more than the shorter one and the simple fact that it is bigger. There is a purpose for both sizes. Ask yourself which you would use more and get that one or get both if you can.

In short -- this is a fantastic motorized slider for the price. As long as you know the limitations, you will get stunning results. I'll cut through some of the repetitive points that other thorough reviews have gone through and will cut straight to what will get you great results.

Tip 1: Balance your payload. The motor is indeed strong enough to support a rig up to roughly 15 lbs, HOWEVER, if your rig is too front or rear heavy, the motor won't have an easy time sliding across the rail -- you'll experience "micro jitters" in your footage. Balance your rig and you'll get smooth shots.

Tip 2: Don't use this manually. Meaning, don't expect to get any reasonable results with a manual, physical push of the glider. This thing just isn't smooth enough for a physical pull/push. Since there's no flywheel to absorb uneven inertia of a push/pull -- you're not going to get even decent shots pushing this thing. Rely on the motor, it's pretty good.

Tip 3: Take care of the slider. I don't think the motor/rubber gearing on the belt will last if you don't take care of it. Obviously, if the belt starts to go out, you're not longer getting smooth shots.

The Good:
+ Sturdy build, which is perfect for heavier rigs, but this also means the slider itself is heavier and a little more difficult to "setup".
+ Smooth and quiet motor. Really, this motor is silent, you'll be able to do interviews with this thing just fine.
+ Price, something comparable in terms of the shots you get would easily run $1,100 or more.
+ Comes with a case (cheap, but decent enough to protect the slider)
+ Remote menu is easy to navigate and also has an option for auto A-B/B-A motion.

The Bad:
- Manual push sliding is not good
- Heavy, but understandable if you're wanting to support a heavier rig
- Awesome that it comes with a case, but it's really cheap. I don't think it'll last you very long if you're not careful with it. Which is pretty ironic for a case.

Overall, I'm very happy with this slider. I had one problem which I'll explain after a quick summary.

I recommend picking up an AC adapter so you don't need to rely on the battery, though the battery itself is decent. Here's what I got:

My problem: My unit arrived with a slight warping in the drive belt. Once I figured out how to contact the manufacture through Amazon (the only line of communication) they were quick to send me a replacement belt. I recommend removing the belt if you plan on storing the unit for anything more than a few days.

I thought, based on the price, I was going to get a flimsy piece of junk... I'm glad I ignored that and bought this slider. Yes, the software interface is clunky, but for pan shots, this little guy is awesome. It took a little figuring to realize I could 'roll around' something close to the camera, or 'spread wide' for a traditional landscape shot, but both are quite doable. Motor noise is almost nonexistent, and out of range for my microphone..

I've taken this on the road last weekend for it's first outing... up to Craggy Gardens on the Blue Ridge Parkway. It worked fine on the level and at 30 degree angles with my Canon 80D, a 24 mm lens and a mic. I've included the video portion of one of the more horizontal-ish pan shots.

If you don't have a slider, this is a good starting point. I did some multi-shot runs, trying to make a big panoramic still, but I messed up the light meter settings, so the pictures aren't consistent enough. Like anything, this takes some practice to use well.

Works with black magic ursa mini Pro. Plus the weight of a ball head , monitor , and battery. Can't beat it for this price. My fav thing by far is the tracking feature. Very nice. I'm not disappointed at all. ( even though I mounted in backwards in the video smh still turned out great though lol )
