I bought this toy for my grandson's 2nd birthday. We both love it. An awesome companion for my grandson. A toy even a grandmother could learn how to use.
Buddy teaches about colors, shapes, numbers, alphabet, music and much more. Kids can also interact with Buddy by singing along to happy learning songs. When it's time for bed, they can snuggle up and drift off to sleep while his tag becomes a color-changing nightlight. There is much more to Buddy then meets the eye.
I love sitting on the floor with my grandson while we read along with Buddy. I know he won't remember, but it is a memory I will treasure forever.

We got this for our 2-year-old granddaughter to help her fall asleep, as we were hoping to offload some of the bedtime fiasco onto Buddy. Here's the reality. It's cute. Super cute. The stories are about as interesting as a bag of rocks, so if you enjoyed "50 Shades of Gray", you're gonna love reading "Buddy Saves the Day" or "Mona Finds a Clue" 30-40 times a night. These books are short, so that is a big plus. And they're inclusive! My ADHD ass totally identifies with Bella. Every morning is a mystery morning in my world.
If your kid actually uses this toy to read the books to them, congratulations. Enjoy it. But they probably won't. I'll save you some trouble, so listen up: when you tiptoe out of the bedroom, move Buddy off the bed. They WILL roll over on him at some point, and he WILL start talking, and you know where it goes from there.

This buddy is cute and it for the most part gives my son something to play with while he falls asleep. Cons: only played 30 seconds to a minute of lullaby in bedtime mode which for me what a complete downside I wanted something that would help soothe him to sleep. Also it's hard to hear him, he's too quiet and a bit muffled. My son has a noise machine in his room and when he's playing with it I'm not 2 feet from him and I cannot understand.
Update from when I replaced the batteries: when I replaced the batteries it was like a whole new toy. It plays music for a lot longer at bed time and the sound is much more audible. 4 stars because I think the manufacturer should provide feedback about this or even on the package.
