i got this for a customers automatded foot spray system for his cows. it runs about four flo jets and many solenoids that like to freeze. this product saved about 200 dollars in small heaters. this is the first season iv had to only use one heater. iv had no freezing issues and dont need to run out on a Friday night to make sure thingsq run good over the weekend.
Easy to use

I bought an oil filled space heater for my bedroom, controls are mechanical, no digital precision temp keeping. As hard as I tried to dial it in the temperature swings were as much as 5*F. Unacceptable! So I bought this item to see if it were capable of holding to a 1-2 degree range. It does, and better than 1-2 degrees, it holds the temps to + or - .5*. Amazing! I may buy another one plus another heater to replace a wall heater with fan. It's noisy and irritating. I have a heat pump mini-split, but they don't work in low temp high humidity very well. I save that unit for cooling in the 90+ temps in summer.
I was led to believe this unit performs without a sound. Well, the relay clicking on/off is not quiet, but I've gotten used to it. I can recommend this for heating or cooling solutions. Just make sure what you want controlled has mechanical controls, or for digital controls, comes back on after a power outage, or you'll be reprogramming your heater or AC after each interruption. Easily determined, just pull the power cord from the wall connection while the unit is running, wait a few minutes then plug it in. If it continues on like nothing happened then this unit should work fine.
About Amazon's handling of this package: This item was shipped in the original box, not placed inside an envelope or box. No real big deal, but this was left unsecured, anyone could have easily opened the box. No tape or strap to keep the package/box from opening if caught on something else. Fortunately it didn't. But what about the one that didn't get here? Poor handling by Amazon's shipping crew is costing them money. I have 2 other items bought at the same time, those items seem to have vanished into thin air!!! Come on Amazon, you can do better than that !!! If this keeps up I may have to take my business elsewhere that tends to their customer needs better than this. Seems like every 2-3 time I order, 1 or 2 items get lost.
WTH???

I have a fridge in the basement I use as a beer fridge/ extra fridge for items that overflow from our kitchen fridge. I'm not sure what's wrong with it, but it has been coolling TOO well and everything in it was freezing. It could be malfunctioning or I read that it was too empty and didn't have enough stuff inside to soak up the cold air so it was freezing. Either way, this saved it and it now keeps everything just over freezing without actually freezing.
As for usage, it is not the most intuitive controls. It is set to heating by default andbyou have to figure out how to navigate through the settings to change the temperature settings. You have to set the temperatures correctly and it will automatically swutch to "cooling". Aside from that, its "Set it and forget it!"
