Never had an issue with these selonoids before so not sure if I received a faulty one or not but after installing it to replace an older one that failed, it seemed to work fine turning the automatic valve on and then off when it should when I tested it. So I assumed it worked fine. However, the third day after installation the plunger apparently stuck open and would not spring back down to shut off the valve causing the valve to run open for several hours until we realized the sprinklers were still on. Can hardly wait to see our water bill. After replacing it again with another new one it works fine. So suspect the one I received was faulty.
