A surprisingly quality product for the money

I am *very* impressed by the jewelry chest's size, weight and quality. Just great.
It's for my granddaughter's third birthday. My daughter said she is sure that the granddaughter is going to absolutely love it. (She already loves to open her mother's jewelery boxes and browse the jewelry inside them.)
I also bought the "Disney Girls' "Frozen" Silver-Plated Elsa Pendant Necklace, 18"" and the "Childrens Girls Jewelry 3pc [imitation] Pearl Set Bracelet, Necklace & Earrings for Girls" so she will have something to go in it, sort of as a starter set. I am told by those who know more than I do that these were very good choices.

This jewelry box was a beautiful birthday gift for our 5 year old daughter. It is heavy and clearly a high-quality item. It is definitely something that will last for years and years. The top tray has several divided compartments for earrings, bracelets, rings and special trinkets. The top tray lifts out to reveal one large open space at the bottom where necklaces can lie flat and bangle bracelets can be kept.
I did not have trouble lifting the top tray out as some reviewers stated, nor did I have a problem with the lid staying open. The ballerina inside is just OK looking. I've seen nicer ballerinas in cheaper boxes, but it doesn't take away from the beauty and craftsmanship of the box.
Overall, I think it's a sweet jewelry box that I expect to last through her teen years and beyond.

I purchased this jewelry box for my 7-year-old granddaugher. The construction quality of this product is outstanding and she was thrilled with it! She coudn't stop opening and closing it to watch the miniature ballerina dance to the Nutcracker ballet.
The jewelry box is fairly large, with a lift out tray that reveals a hidden compartment below. The hinges are heavy-duty and not like many of the jewelry boxes you find in the department stores for the same price or more. In comparison, this one was well worth the price. Craftsmanship is the same as the sterling silver flatware chests made by Reed & Barton. My granddaughter should enjoy this for many, many years.
