I planted a newly cleared 2 1/2 acre pasture early in the season and well before the ending of the frosts. The seeds began sprouting within 10 days and took hold nicely. The new grass was not affected by the frost at all. This seed will not disappoint.

I bought this to overseed some run down pasture areas at our new place for my horses and to seed some spots that were bare. We are in KY and this seed is rated for our zone. We used a pull behind aerator on about 2 acres and followed up with overseeding in Mid-February. We used 2 bags total, spreading more seed on the bare areas than the ones with grass already there. The bare areas we covered with chopped straw and they look fantastic now (May).

It took several weeks for the seeds to visibly germinate (it was cold) but once they did they took off like crazy. It's harder to tell in the areas where there was already grass, but the bare areas look brand new and awesome. Very happy with this seed, so much that we ordered 2 more bags to do some more seeding when the time comes on other areas. Price is comparable to other (non horse pasture) types of seed and it looks great.

started a new yard with this, did come in, but not as much as i hoped. still some coming in and it's been a month. needs second, maybe 3rd overseeding

I have used other seeds and this is one of the best I've used. We had lots of rain. Too much rain. But seeds germinated fast and grass is growing. Happy!

I reseed a small pasture every year but this stuff had a much higher germination rate than anything I've used in the past. Good seed.
