I use two of these and recently bought a third. I use one to turn my coffee pot off in 30 minutes when finished brewing so as not to "over cook" the coffee, and another one to control the charging time of my cell phone. I changed my mind on how I was going to use the third unit, but will keep it around for replacement or a new project.

I bought it for my fan, and I was not sure if it would work since it is advertised for lights. I have hot flashes and wanted to be able to remotely turn my existing desk fan on and off while lying in bed. This way I would not have to keep the fan at arm's length to turn it on and have it blowing directly in my face. This is awesome. Worked like a pro. I only wish I could have found one like this that had a timer for 1 minute, but no such luck.

I have cold feet and I used a heated foot rest under my desk. I worry about forgetting to turn it off so I purchase this to prevent that. I keep this handy little remote on the top of my desk and turn it on for an hour at a time. Works great. I have occasionally come into my office and found my food heater ON when I wasn't in my desk. This has happened maybe 3 to 4 times. I work at home, though, and I've suspected that one of my cats steps on the remote and activates it. Overall I'm very happy with it and I plan to keep using it.
