The directions say to put it after shampooing a couple of minutes. However, I use it after shower and saturate head with a hair turban over it. Rinse in morning and my hair looks healthy, shiny and beautiful. Highly recommend. Well worth the price and I will buy it again as my new hair routine. Deep mask once or twice a week. A year ago, i decided to stop coloring my hair (it was just too much to keep up with) and let it go grey. If I was going with grey, I didn't want to end up with dull ugly grey hair, so I looked for a product that gave it shine. This is my second jar of Luseta and I love it. It really makes my hair shine and brings out the pretty part of grey, along with keeping it soft. My grandson colors his hair (green, blonde, blue, etc) and he uses it also and helps with all the chemicals that damage his hair.

So from the reviews I was expecting a Miracle! But all I got was a mess in my shower and a STRONG cologne scent in my hair. (If you like strong smells you may like the scent) to me it's a bit nauseating .. it smells like a man's cologne. As for the Toning"¦ sure the color of the mask itself would make you think it would do it's job, but the deep purple color is misleading bc it doesn't tone at all . My hair looks exactly the same as it did before I used it. The mask itself does leave your hair feeling softer . But ultimately I wanted it to tone as well and it disappointed me on that end . You do get a BIG jar of it for the price "¦ but you have to use a handful in order to cover your hair and I don't even have long thick hair . I would say try it out if you want a decent hair mask, but if you are trying to tone don't bother bc it doesn't tone at all
