I got this mannequin to practice hair braiding on, and for that, it's great! I also got it to practice my face painting on as well. If you are going to do makeup/facepaint on the mannequin, beware the eyebrows wipe off somewhat easily (not a problem for me.) I tried using a curling iron on this mannequin. And while it is heat resistant, it will not hold curl at all. Or at least that's the case for me. I tried multiple different peices, and durations of time I held the hair on the iron, it will not curl. I may take scissors and even up the bottom of the hair to get it more even. But other then those minor issues, 4/5 stars! You get what you pay for :). P.s, if you brush it after each time styling you shouldn't have a tangle problem.

The media could not be loaded. My daughter loves playing with this brushing and styling the hair. I just got it as a toy for her. She does complain about the ends of the hair being frizzy and hard to manage. I haven't let her cut them yet but may in the future. I make sure she's really gentle with brushing so not too much hair falls out, but it definitely does shed. Also the top of the head looks a little bald.
