Just the right amount of padding (and has Velcro, too!)

This has just the right amount of padding. I bought a bulkier one from a different manufacturer that I've seen in YouTube videos and the bulkier one made placing the bar on my shoulders/traps awkward. This one comes with super strong Velcro to hold it in place. You can use it for squats, glute thrusts, anything that requires extra cushion with a barbell. And as I've said in another review, it's yours and hasn't been used by 10,000 sweaty people. Fits nicely in my gym bag, too (my gym bag is actually a nice diaper bag I bought on Amazon with lots of pockets and insulated "bottle" holders inside to keep my drinks cold).

I love this barbell pad! Great for using doing back squats, hip thrusts, and weighted lunges.
This pad has a Velcro flap that covers the slit where you slip it on the barbell, which works awesome and keeps it in place. Other pads I've used turn or partially come off the barbell while in the middle of a lift. This flap keeps that from happening. It also has a tiny loop on the end so I can secure it to the side of my gym bag! It seems like a little thing but it makes a huge difference to not have ANOTHER accessory floating around in there. Rimsports thinks of everything!

Product worked as designed and was a great buy for the money. At lighter weight it was a little to cushioned and sat the barbel up real high. However, once you start throwing some weight on there it sat much nicer. A real neck saver for bear complex movements.
