I've been on the hunt for a surf poncho for awhile now. Every time I browse surf shops I find the same FCS and Quiksilver brands that just look like glorified towels. I considered ordering a Channel Islands or Rip Curl one, but suspected the same quality as the other two major brands mentioned. I wanted something that was more heavy weight for the wind chill for Bay Area surfing in the winter.

With all that in mind, I totally recommend this surf poncho. It's definitely big enough for me at 5'7" and under 150 lbs. This thing is heavy duty cotton and literally gets pretty heavy in the washing machine. It says machine washable, but I just don't like the way it sounds rolling around in there. And you should definitely wash it thoroughly because the lint lingers for awhile. Do yourself a favor and get a wetsuit hanger for it while you're at it to hang it out to dry in between sessions.

Overall, definitely delivers on the cozy and privacy side. I can't tell you how many times my towel has come dangerously close to unraveling after a session. I also appreciated the zipper pocket in the front that I use for sunglasses. I like the henley hoodie style of the thing, too.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this Surf Poncho! It's cozy to wear between sessions and offers full coverage for re-dressing practically anywhere. The high quantity materials and workmanship will stand up to daily use long-term. Knowing I'm supporting a small business that contributes proceeds from my purchase to sea turtle conservation makes me feel I've made a truly wise and conscious investment. They also gave me a free wax comb/tool, WOO-HOO!

My first surf poncho and I'm impressed. Rugged yet soft and looks well made. Gave it a try in the garage before my first session and works like a charm......much better than a towel. Looking forward to using it at the beach. The vendor even included a hand written card thanking me for the order. I recommend following the advice to wash before using to remove sizing and any loose threads.

I love this thing! Now I don't have to worry about flashing the public when getting in and out of my wetsuit. The Poncho is and comfortable and well made. Nice work West Path.

Best changing robe I've ever had. Been searching for a thick, durable robe for a long time only to be disappointed with thin flimsy construction at a high cost. Those days are in the past. This changing robe is sturdy and comfy. Finally! Buying another one.
