I got this to place under my car in the garage while I was replacing the timing chain and doing some other minor repairs under the car. The first night the coolant hose popped free and drained quite a bit of coolant to the floor and the Mat absorbed it up with no problem what so ever, Nothing escaped from the edges of the mat or through the mat. I am totally satisfied with this Mat. If your going to be working in you garage or drive way then this is a must use Product to keep Oil or Coolant from leaking and seeping into the cement and contaminating the ground. The coolant leak I had I let sit for a couple of days ( being lazy ). But when I started back into the car again the Mat was totally dry.

Worked better than I thought it would. I had read the reviews about how thin it was and that it blows around but I was working I. A garage and just wanted to protect the concrete. I taped it down under the transmission that I was servicing and it work out well. I actually spilled quite a lot of transmission fluid on it, but to my surprise nothing make it onto the other side.

Who needs this just for the shop? I use this all around the house. I have put it (when clean) on my table to put jars of coins on. We have used it for art projects. We have used it as a dropcloth type of thing to prevent sawdust from getting into our air vents. We have had so many uses that we may need to get another one for my husband to actually use in the shop. I love this.

Easy to use product

Bought this to put under my grill on the patio to catch grease and other spills while cooking. It's the perfect size and it's thin so it's easy to move the grill if needed. It is very thin so without something holding it down it would blow around for sure. It does absorb moisture but it doesn't keep the surface below completely dry unless the volume of liquid is pretty small.
