I had been researching leather bags for a while, since I needed/wanted to replace my company-issued backpack. I carry a large, 17 inch HP Z Book laptop (Dimensions: 16.37" x 10.7" 1.33" Weight: 8.48 pounds), so finding something to fit has been challenging. My laptop fits this bag quite nicely.

I really like how simple this bag is - it looks great, in my opinion. Inside, my large laptop fits snugly. There's a little padding, but not tons. I'm not that concerned because I'm not slinging my bag around roughly. There's enough space inside for the laptop, my charger, some pens and headphones. I don't carry much more than that, except my cell phone, which I drop in the outside pockets. You could probably get a small textbook or some folders in there as well. I'm choosing to load my bag with just the essentials.

Overall construction is good. The shoulder strap is reasonably comfortable (again, my bag isn't loaded up) and the metal clasps seem sturdy enough. Inside, the lining could be nicer but it's fine overall. Leather is nice, with a really nice color (I have the dark brown). Others have reported a strong leather smell - I can confirm as well but it's not bad, especially after a day or so. The zippers are fine but I've noticed that they've scratched my laptop. If the opening was a tad larger, it wouldn't be an issue. As I mentioned before, my laptop is large so I'm sure that's contributing as well.

This bag fit my criteria: simple but professional looking, without the giant pockets and straps that other leather bags have. My laptop fits. I don't much more than that. I would recommend.

This briefcase came to me as a gift, and I couldn't be more pleased. The leather is of sufficient thickness to provide good substance but light enough not to be uncomfortable when fully loaded. The laptop side, if carried, has a Velcro strap to lock securely to avoid slipping, or if not carrying the laptop will provide an ample number of file folders or notebook. The other pocket is wide enough to carry several books, and is long enough as well as wide and deep enough to accommodate several volumes. Two leather pen loops are provided and two business card / cell phone pockets are sewn to the divider of substantial nylon fabric. The inside has a zippered pocket for keeping documents from falling from the case.

The leather itself is dark, and while it can be marked / scraped, it rubs out nicely. The leather strap possesses and shoulder pad that's a bit think but distributes weight nicely for me. One handle has a two-snap flap to go around the other handle to make it stay together and carry more easily. The handle and strap attachments are substantial and well sewn to provide good strength with a loaded case so that it will not tear. Two exterior pocket provide extra capacity that close with a magnetic "snap" that hold firmly when not in use but open easily for inserting into the pockets. The zipper closure on top is substantial with a very nice leather pull, and the lighter thread makes an attractive accent. The interior is lined and a seam piping provides a clean finish. This case is wonderfully constructed.

I have used the case for more than a month, carrying it to my campus office each day, and I am thoroughly delighted and pleased with this case. It's the first leather case of my career, and I only wish I had garnered one sooner because this case has a rich feel and good weight, strength, and appearance. It's been a very good choice, and I would not hesitate to recommend it.

It's really the perfect size if you need to take your laptop, or just a few folders to work. This is the kind of bag the more you use, the more character the leather shows. The surface will show wear marks, but the fabric itself is strong and durable. The interior organization is simple and easy to use; no fancy gimmicks to over complicate things. I look forward to keeping this bag for decades!

I am a private school teacher. This bag holds everything I need, and lets me easily retrieve it at any moment. It is a very high quality product and it looks great. I personally do not like bags with flaps, because I have to open the flap every time I have to retrieve something, and it often causes the bag to topple due to the weight of the flap. This bag has a zipper on top, and the bag stays solidly put while I retrieve things from the inside.
There are a few large compartments that make it easy to separate folders and teaching materials, as well as a computer, and the chargers. It has a zippered inner compartment that I use for pens.
It is exactly what I needed and I am very happy with it.

Overall I'm very pleased with my purchase of this product. It is of good, sound build quality. I selected this briefcase after purchasing one of the other competing briefcases that was 1/2 this price. That original order was not up to the quality of case I was looking for in a laptop bag. The Texbo Genuine Leather Men's Briefcase meets and exceeds the standard I was looking for in many ways. First, it is roomy enough for my 17" Dell Laptop - plus the power cord, 4TB Seagate Backup Plus drive, external DVD drive, the power cords, a couple of pens and several books and a journal. Side compartments are great for extra files or papers. I purchased this as a way to keep my laptop protected at home and when I needed to travel with a briefcase - Boy Scout Meetings (Assistant Scoutmaster for my troop and 2017 Jamboree), holiday and vacation travel, etc. Only one setback - it seems that the strap shoulder pad has begun to fray a bit, but it is not coming apart. Considering the build quality of the bag - nice thick leather, zipper compartment to protect from the elements, plenty of room, etc - I expect to have many years of use out of this bag. Some other reviews pointed out that the laptop strap was made of leather and doesn't fit snug on the laptop to hold it in. While I find this to be a true assessment, the laptop itself fits nice and snug and is held in place well. Great quality product - highly recommended and worth the extra money to purchase.
