The main use for this device is in the car for the times we take our Gracie for a ride. She's an 8yr old black lab. We take her on vacation when we go and we want her to be safe. She wears a safety harness in the car, but the weakest link was the attachment was the carabiner that holds her to the the vehicle safety bracket on the rear seat. If the safety rating for this device is accurate, Gracie won't be launched in the front seat should an accident occur.

If you are using these with belaying rings (garda hitch style) for a hammock these carabiners are TOO SMALL. Weight limit is fine, but the physical dimensions of the rings is too big for the carabiners. Which is NOT a knock on the carabiners themselves. They are fine and exactly as expected.

Just received these today (fast shipping from amazon), and put them on my Every Day Carry (EDC) bag easily with the quick clip. I always have 50' of paracord and a emergency blanket with me, but needed some carabiners in case I need help to make a quick shelter. The L-Rovers rated at 12kN are substantial compared with others I have and will do the job without worrying about strength. The four pack is a bargain as well and the colors are appreciated.

Nicely made and great for attaching all types of this things e.g. my dogs leash clasp broke and I hooked this on - easier to open with my aging hands. Many products like this just break after using for a few months.
