Truthfully, when I first opened the box and saw the scat mats, I wasn't sure they would work. I guess I wasn't expecting them to be so soft and flexible. I couldn't see how they would work if they weren't more rigid. I was wrong. I've had them in about 5 days now and they seem to be working really great! The flexibility was actually helpful for my purposes, as I was able to bend them around as needed and make them work in area's were more rigid items wouldn't. The only thing I found wrong is that they don't come with any spikes to keep them down. I went to the local home improvement store, got a large pack of metal spikes, and now the scat mats work great for keeping our dogs from digging under the fence--so far anyway.

Since we have two of our cars that are parked outside our home - we have encountered rodents/mice/etc. nesting and chewing wires within the cars. This has cost of several hundreds of dollars. With these scat mats hooked together and placed around the perimeter of the outdoor parking space we have not had any sign of animals storing debris or entering into the card and under the hood! A great product!

One of my dogs started treating herself to a hosta salad whenever she went out, and they're poisonous so I had to come up with a quick fix. These take no time to lay down and can easily be rearranged. They are uncomfortable enough to keep my 25-pounder out of the hostas!

Only time will tell of this will work, I think it will. The spikes look suitably uncomfortable for a cat, or other pests, to walk on. You can clip all the pieces together so 10 clipped together can't easily be moved out of the way by a cat clawing at it. I'd like a bit more for the money, two packs didn't really cover a large enough area so I have to buy more. And it would be nice if they came with some extra pegs to pin them a bit more firmly to the ground. But I knew what I was getting, and I'll probably buy a few more packs.

Great mats! Easy to install- wish they were a bit heavier, but work well. Needed them to keep raccoons from using our shed roof as a bathroom- we have ordered more! Love that they don't hurt any animals, but keeps them away.
