This just arrived this week, and I am disappointed with the quality. This roaster is pretty flimsy. Very thin metal gauge. The top and bottom don't fit all that well (poor seal) because the top appears to be slightly out of shape. My parents had a roaster that looked like this, but was far more heavy duty. If your looking for a really solid product, don't buy this.

This is definitely great if you're making a turkey! That is what we used it so far. It cooked it very evenly and there was plenty of room for veggies like potatoes and mushrooms, and other things.
The granite ware is also very light yet very durable. To wash it was very easy after cooking, and everything seemed to come off very well.

I like granite ware, and have used it on my flat-top stove on and off for a long time. So I was surprised to see a warning on the bottom of this roaster saying that I shouldn't use it on a glass-top stove. Oven, gas burners, electric coils, all okay, but not the flat top electric stoves. The Housemate tells me she uses her granite wear roaster on top of a glass-top stove at holidays, and the house is still standing, so I don't know what to tell you about that particular warning.
Granite wear is fairly light, and when you're hauling a turkey in and out of the oven, that's a good thing. This roaster is roomy, and it seems to cook evenly, and cleans up really well so long as you give it a soak before you attack the mess. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this (Made in America!) roaster to anyone.
