Thoughtful, superior design

Disclaimer: I am not a bicycle mechanic, but I am a mechanically inclined analytical type. I feel compelled to write a recommendation for this product. In the past I've used the usual type of stems with the molded rubber end/stopper that seals the stem to the stem hole. My problem with those is that I've had them seem to pull through the hole when I tighten them down enough so that they don't spurt air when I attach my air hose.
Here are the things I like about it:
* This stem has an integrated flange that is a ridged member that prevents the stem from pulling through.
* The "O" rings are standard sizes and are replaceable when necessary.
* The retaining nut has a recessed bottom (the side that abuts the rim) that holds captive another "O" ring thereby preventing it from squirting out when cranking down the nut.
* The retaining nut - though it is mostly a knurled for finger tightening, it also has two square sides to allow getting a wrench on it if necessary.
* Stays sealed once screwed in. Didn't leak air when forcing on my air hose.

Very nice high quality valve stems and valves.
I ordered these to use with my single wall fat bike wheels. The flat flange and oring seat sealed much better than the tapered plug style. The thread just barely goes close enough to the inside end to snug up on the single wall rims.
I'm not sure these would work well on a narrower rim where the valve stem is in a groove like seat on the interior of the wheel but they were excellent for my use.
