The negatives (only a few but not bad):

1). There should be a 90 degree angle input option that can be screwed on so that it can work in lower water levels.
2). The remote should have an on/off, not just a 10 minute "feed" shutoff option. I ended up buying https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01FT4RBBM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 to turn the pump on and off.
3) One set of plugs is not screw in, and they tend to fall out or get pulled out and of course the pump won't work.
4) I make fountains and I know there are many people who will use these for other than fishtanks. So perhaps the word "FEED" can be replaced by the word "PAUSE" so that people can use it on fountains, in water walls and other places besides fishtanks.

As I said, these are mainly all minor... This is a really great pump.

The positives:

It's great! It's so quiet. Even on the level 20. I like that it goes up 20 levels. Many pumps go up to 3, 5, 10.
It pumps the amount that they said it does.
I also like that it's white and black, which matches the fountains I produce.
The connection design and the pieces that go with them are good, strong and solid.

I have tried mostly every pump on Amazon. This is clearly top for me and I plan to buy more.

I plan to buy many more.

I don't write reviews and I'm not easily impressed. This pump has impressed me. I live in a 2 story home. I have a 180 gallon Reef tank on the first floor and a 55 gallon fish only tank on the second floor piped using 1" Pex tubing with no fittings and no sharp turns. They both share the same 30 gallon sump on the first floor. First I had an Apex Cor-20 return pump sending water to second floor. It could hardly pump the water up. I decided to add this Orlushy DC 12000 pump to help the Cor-20. I piped them in Parallel with one way valves on each. Out of curiosity I tried just Running Orlushy 12000 at 120 (%100) the flow was too much and almost overflowed the 55 gallon tank. Next in set Orlushy 12000 to 110 (%50) the water flow was at the max my aquarium setup could handle. In summary, apex Cor-20 rated at around 90 watts Running at %100 could barely do the job. Orlushy 12,000 rated at 90 watts Running at %50 was more than enough to send water up to the second floor of my home. Also for the curious readers, I left the Cor-20 connected as a backup

Cannot believe how quiet this pump is!! It slowly ramps up till is gets to the number you have it at. I have this thing going through 3 lifegard filters after the sump. 1st mechanical, chemical then a tall UV sterilizer. I definitely will be buying another one but getting the next size up to run 2 cause I'm going from a 140 to a 180 gallon tank soon. So for ppl wondering wether or not to get one it's well worth it in my book.

External: second purchase:
This one is external and hooked to a canister filter where the motor was no longer working(large canister). Cut the return hose and placed it in the middle. Used plumbers tape on treads. So far no leaks. I will slowly amp up the pump. Flow is low at 107. Pump is below tank but above canister. I placed on return to have the lowest water pressure as possible on the canister. Now it's only the pressure from the tank water draining.

Submerged: original purchase.
Running at 115. Not full capacity. It is quiet. The only noise is running water because my filter is filled and needs to be changed. I love the controls. Makes it look hi tech.

Love the feed fish function. I use it to temporarily turn off the pump so I can clean the pre-filter, overflows and my multi tank system without having to unplug the pump. It's set for ten minutes and if it's not enough time I just press it again

Ordered a second one. My canister filter motor is messed up. I will connect it to my canister.

I'm very please with these pumps. I've bought both the 9000 and the 5000. They are extremely quiet and work very well. I do think the rated numbers might be overestimating a bit, but they are strong enough for my saltwater tank. I'm using the 9000 as my return with a 6ft head and no issues. I like the feed mode for easy turn off when I need to do anything. I don't really use the sine feature but it does work too.
