Surprise! It works!

So many online products promise spectacular results and fail miserably. Happy to report this is not one of them. I used an old gray metal printer stand to experiment with. Brushed on two coats of Retique It medium for full coverage, then used a rag and stain from Home Depot (Kona color). Turned out beyond expectations, looks really good. Stain is actually darker than in the photo because of the flash, but this piece can now actually be used in my office for storage, almost matches the desk.
Works great

I was super skeptical but I didn't want to strip my front door although I wanted a wood grain look. I saw this used on YouTube and decided to go for it. First I tried it out on a small peice of furniture. I suggest this before going all out on a huge project. I was able to see how it
would turn out and also was able to get down the technique prior to starting on my large doors. You do need to work in long strokes to get that wood look. It was difficult working with my door that had ridges and therefore more difficult to do the wood grain long strokes BUT not impossible. I used the dark wood primer and used a transparent dark stain over it. Most stains you rub off after it's applied from what I saw on YouTube however once I applied stain over this primer I could not rub it off BUT I loved the look it gave. All and all, this stuff is pretty cool and actually does work. A little goes a long way. I did 2 small pieces of furniture and 2 large double doors and I not even a quarter of the primer is gone. This stuff could literally cover so much.
Amazing product!

Incredible!! I used Retique It on an old linoleum counter that was used as a workbench by our home's prior owner. Honestly, I had moderate expectations, but decided to give this a try because it couldnt possibly look worse than it already did. I was amazed at the transformation! It looks like i replaced the whole countertop.
Love this product!!

This product is amazing! I used used medium for the top of this coffee stand and then the Terre Verte in their chalk paint line. This was my first time trying the Retique It and I am very satisfied. I have so many projects I will be doing in the near further with this product! See before and after pictures.
Worked as hoped for

Tried out the product (medium color) on our painted picture rail, followed by a mix of Minwax Express Stain in Walnut and Mahagony. No smell and easy clean-up of both products. The stainable primer provides what it promises: a surface that can be stained. It does not magically provide a wood pattern which I did not expect anyway (just wanted an approximation of the existing mahagony trim).
