I was quite happy with the first pack of Watermelon Leaves that I bought. Having a fleck or yellow in the leaf makes it less Shakespeare drama and more LA subtropical, and the leaves look pretty real from a short distance. I feel the price could be cheaper elsewhere as they are China made but it's a matter of looking, you know. I ordered a second pack to add density to what we have and they arrived and are a different color! Less of a dark green and more of a greenish yellow. So I am returning this pack, hoping for a replacement that MATCHES ... maybe if you buy two or more packs at once they'll match them but then it's also valuable to play around with the first set of vines first, to assess what you received and whether you need to add more ... hopefully we can add more MATCHING ones as it looks a bit sparse. But the animals are enjoying it out on the balcony more these days, which makes me pleased. I do prefer the dark green with yellow fleck leaf though, and the factory should make an effort to ensure a consistent quality of product.

The media could not be loaded. The vines were super cute & turned out to be perfect. When the package is first opened it does have a funky smell to them but t eventually goes away, not too bad of a smell though. The package contained 12 vines that measure 7 feet. In the video you can see 10 dangling vertically & then I placed two horizontally on the top.

First I soaked these in water overnight to aerate and rid of noxious odor from dye and other textile material (changing water a few times). There was only very minimal leave loss; the vines hold up overall great. I needed to create access highways along the wall and outside of my gecko's enclosure for him to use to get from his glass enclosure to his all-screen Summer house on the other side of the living room and these vines work perfectly. Too perfect, actually. I have to check for him more frequently when he's out and about because of course now I can't see him at a glance. As long as he's comfortable and feels hidden. It's a great extension as an outside jungle which moves from inside his enclosure to surrounding it, then down the wall where he has a at least a temporary sense of total freedom.
