Perfect fit for a Large Big Green Egg

I am using this in a large big green egg. Does exactly what I need. I am able to lift out the basket with the unburnt charcoal and clean the fire grate holes for better airflow before each cook.

quality seems good. however it doesn't fill the bottom of firepit, leaving a good 1" gap around it. for that reason, I have to return it. just too small. i have a Kamado Joe Classic.

I have no idea why someone would pay $100 for the more well-known name-brand ash basket on the kamado market when they could grab this up for much less. This thing is heavy, quality stainless steel and welds look good. No regrets.
Built well but will sacrifice cooking surface for direct cooking. Classic joe II

Didn't get to use it. Came a day late. But the 3 stars is for having a big gap all around the basket. About an 1" gap. So cooking surface will have to be sacrifice at the edge if you're planning to utilize the entire grill. Would be good for smoking though. Sits low enough where it would not interfere with the heat deflection plate. Got it for my classic joe II
