Kept my bike safe! Difficult for first time packers.
Bernie✓ Verified Purchase•December 19, 2023
First and foremost, it kept my bike 100% safe traveling from Guam - Korea - New Zealand. Which is really the most important point.
Second, that was not as straightforward to pack as I was anticipating. Mind you, this was my first attempt packing a bike. Directions included were minimal. I eventually figured it out, but got damn that took me a second (or several hours).
Third, I don't know if there is anyway around this but that thing was awkward and lopsided once packed. I'm sure it was amusing watching me try and tote it behind me with my other bags. 😆
Last but not least, there was plenty of room for all of my other gear (helmet, pump, shoes, and a bag full of other tri gear).
Overall, recommend. It did it's job. Kept my carbon fiber bike in one piece. I only gave it 4 stars because it was not very beginner friendly and the directions included were minimal.

Best Bike Travel Bag I Have Owned

This 5 stars goes not only for the bag, which of course deserve them but also the customer service!
I travel around the world a lot and I need a great light but sturdy and easy to move and store bike bag and after few I have found my happiness with this one! I have not found any minus yet.
The Bag: with this bag, you get everything an EVOC bag offers: the high quality materials, great design, lightweight, foldable, big wheels and good padding for protection at a great price. It also offer some nice extras you won't find on pricier bags: 2 wheel protectors, drivetrain cover and pouches to store smaller extra items load of space to extras inside. For me it was super important to be able to roll it to save space and it does that to very nicely.
Customer service: I bought this bag only a few days before leaving into a long bike trip and unfortunately one of the zippers has in bad shape. I contacted them and explain the urgency of my situation with my upcoming trip and they we extremely nice and efficient to help me solve the problem! I left for my trip with no troubles neither delays!
Thank you Speed Hound!!

Exceeded Expectations!

I ordered this bag after researching much of its competitors online. It seemed to be very similar in quality and offerings compared to its competition for roughly half the price. So after all of the comparing, I decided to order this one. It arrived last week and when I removed it from its packaging, I was excited to see that the quality is top notch. I love how the zippers and wheels are heavy duty and look like they'll take a real beating over the years and keep working. I packed my TT bike into last night and it went very smoothly experiencing how there seems to be supports and straps in all of the right places along with the crank/chain cover and front bike frame cover that keeps everything clean and free from scratches as the friendly TSA employees never seem to go easy on these bags as you would hope them to. When I loaded it into the SUV the handles are placed in very strategic places to make handling the bag very easy. The reason for the 5 stars is that I can't find anything that this bag didn't meet or exceed my expectations!
I cannot speak highly enough about this bike bag!

I cannot speak highly enough about this bike bag! TL;DR: If you don't want to shell out the money for a hard case, this is the best value soft bike bag available.
My bike: 48" Kestrel Talon (Triathlon config)
Inside: The biggest concern with any soft bike bag is whether or not it will protect your bike during its journey. This bag has thick (0.5"-1.0") padding on all sides. There are plastic wheel protectors that protect the spokes and axles for both wheels, and two specifically shaped pads to be wrapped on the bike itself (one for the derailleurs/chain, and one for the top tube/down tube). There are adjustable Velcro straps in all the right places on the inside, and more pockets than I knew what to do with. One of my favorite aspects is that nearly the entire inside is covered in a gray tarp-like panels that can be detached (Velcro), hosed off, cleaned and reinstalled like new. My bike is small, so I cannot speak to larger frames, but there was plenty of room int he bag to fit a Joe Blow tire pump, a folding chair for my significant supporter, helmet, foam roller, tools, and nutrition.
Outside: When rushing to grab hold of the bag, no matter where you reach there is a reinforced handhold waiting for you. The bottom has several thick plastic sliders which seem to stand up to any dragging abuse, and the back two wheels are wide enough to be stable, and solid enough to handle even the most aggressive concrete. The canvas on the top/sides isn't waterproof, but light/moderate rain for short periods of time was no problem. The bottom-most red panels are coated, and to the best of my knowledge, waterproof.
Con: The only downside to the bag is that it is on the heavier side (almost 20lbs) but for the durability and padding, I'll take the extra weight any day.
Things I did that did not come with the bag: I wrap my handle bars in bubble wrap to prevent any pinching on the cables/rubbing from the stem to the frame; also, I place one of the forks through a hollow foam roller to prevent potential crushing. I honestly believe the bike would be fine without these precautions, but since I love my bike with all my heart, I don't mind being overly cautious.

Speed Hound Bike Bag Review
D. Marquis✓ Verified Purchase•November 23, 2023
I bought this as an alternative to the heavier, hard sided case that I've used several times, and after renting a similar, soft-sided Thule bike bag. I've used this bike bag four times, two RT airline flights. The Speed Hound worked well, easier to pull around than the bike box. Also doesn't invite heavy suitcases to be stacked upon it as a bike box might. I was able to pack & strap my disassembled bike in this bag, but wish it had come with a sheet of directions, for its best use. The Speed Hound bag includes a very handy chain guard which the Thule bag did not. Also a padded wrap to go around the front part of the bike frame possibly for scratch protection. This brand lacks a few niceties of the Thule bag, in particular the stiff inserts for the ends, integrated front fork skewer tie-down, and a couple extra adjustable straps with clips for securing the bike to the bag. All in all though, a good value.
